see the issue with archie filling up the volcano that nobody seems to see is that it would also cool down the hot springs that lavaridge town uses for tourism, as well as the ash that fallarbor uses to make glass, effectively ruining two separate town's livelihoods

The finish has superhero movie energy. The Big Bad slams his fist into the hero, dust and sand billow around the impact site, all hope is lost! Until the fist is pulled away to reveal a glaring pair of eyes, holding on by a thread of murderous intent. Great run!

7:31 Fun fact: In the Pokemon Adventures manga Team Aqua actually SUCCEEDS in their plan to stop Mt Chimney's volcanic activity (because Adventures is truly hardcore and everyone in it is actually badass), and that led to a whole chain of natural disasters occuring throughout the region due to the death of the volcano leading to an energy imbalance that caused sea levels to rise and storms to form, also moving both Groudon and Kyogre closer to awakening, which would have led to more disasters It's a damn good thing we beat up Team Aqua here

The Mt. Chimney thing was elaborated on in the manga - stopping the volcanic activity caused the balance between Kyogre and Groudon to shift and helped to ultimately awaken them. As for what's going on in Ruby and why it does anything there... I'm not sure even Game Freak has an answer there.

WOW. You REALLY swam through Bull💩 Lake dealing with Glacia. And not to brag, but I had a moment like that finale the first time I played Ultra Sun. Specifically, against Giovanni in the postgame. My Alolan Muk JUST survived an Earthquake from his Mega Mewtwo, then critically hit back with Gunk Shot. My greatest personal triumph.
