Foxes are just canines who wish that they were cats by running on cat software. It's like how spotted hyenas look and act like canines when they're actually felines. Naming your Pokémon after people's actual pets was a nice touch. I have a senior dachshund with several health problems named Bella and I adore Dachsbun so I was rooting for Tovah all the way. I love that you named your Riolu "Riley", because in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, we get Riolu as an egg from Riley on Iron Island. Believe it or not, we could've gotten ANOTHER Cars spinoff as not too long ago, it was revealed that a project called Metro was in the works. Yes, a movie about TRAINS! We don't know much about it, but concept art for the movie showed it would've been set in a fictionalized NYC where cars rely on trains, as it showed the NYC Subway, Metro-North, and the LIRR. Why didn't it happen? Because the Disneytoon Studios working on it was shut down in June 2018 as a result of Lasseter and Disney parting ways.

I just want to point out that hyenas are not exactly felines 👉👈 they belong to the feliform suborder, which amongst felines and hyaenidae includes also fossas and mongooses for example ! I think it’s a fascinating suborder of carnivores, I love them all ! I know how that feels back in the early 2000's I used a picture of my dog's face(a pitbull) as my Xbox profile. In the small print for Xbox they have a part that says it can use the pictures you use, and thankfully my picture of Maggie Mae became so popular they used it. So now when someone buys an Xbox even the new ones since that was on the xbox360 the starter pack of pictures that comes with the system has her pic on it...and I said thankfully it's there because I had a fire that made me lose all of my pictures of her and shortly after she died of cancer so I had none left. Only to buy the Xbox one just recently and her picture was there and it made me cry tears of joy!

When not even Geeta could kill one of the dogs says A LOT about just how weak Geeta is as a Champion. The fact that Glimmora isn't the first one up to set up Toxic Debris and her Kingambit isn't the one she Terastallizes...was SUCH a missed opportunity on Game Freak's part. It's like they rushed her team to get the game out instead of making her the intimidating Champion she deserves to be. If her team was Glimmora to lead, then Dondozo (with Liquidation, Body Slam, Avalanche, and Earthquake), Arboliva (to set up Seed Sower and then use Terrain Pulse), Gholdengo (such a special and rare Pokémon should be owned by a Champion), Armarouge/Ceruledge , and finally Kingambit as her ace, the battle would be FAR more interesting and challenging.

Honestly dunno which game will be best to get the most amount of cats possible. Espeon, Vaporeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Persian (2 forms), Delcatty, Luxray, Purugly, Liepard, Pyroar, Meowstic, Incineroar, Perrserker, and Meowscarada are all the fully evolved Pokemon that I think qualify as true cats, I might've missed one or two. Hoppip is a weird case cause its evolutions are clearly not cats, I'm not sure if Absol or Zangoose count as feline or not, and everyone else is a legendary.

@@pete5516 Bears aren't canids, aka what we often conversationally reffer to as dogs. They're in their own clade and are further related to domestic dogs. Foxes *are* canids. Canids split off from caniforms around 38 million years ago, while bears split off around 45 million years ago. So no, it's not the same. Other canids tend to be much more domestic dog-like than bears and are factually more closely related to them.

That would be really cool. There are so many cool bears in pokemon. Ursaring, Pangoro, Walrein, Seel, Primarina, Bewear, Beartic, Urshifu, Obstagoon, Floatzel, Furret and Gumshoos. I mean, if 'dog' can include foxes because they are canines then the sister group Arctoida (meaning bear like) should all count as bears. I was planning to do this for my Scarlet playthrough (with the one caveat that I could use Dog-like pokemon as well, because Koraidon is a derpy doggo-dragon and you can’t tell me otherwise).

This made me realize I actually had four dogs in my playthrough lol (Key -who I get in every game possible- the Houndoom, Delta the Jolteon, Renegade the Arcanine, and Mantis the Zoraork!) Also I've always knew and excepted that Eevee was a mix of different animals not meant to be recognizable as one over the other but I'd say it most closely resembles a fox while it's evolutions go off in different directions

As you said, the eevees are foxes and would count under dogs for this challenge. I do see how espeon is way more catlike, though- I think Vaporeon should be more on the dog side, actually, but hey.

I love that this game has so many dog pokemon that you can do a dog-only run with ease. My friend LOVES dogs and I'm hoping she plays Violet. Also congrats on the no-deaths run! Things got really dicey a few times, but I guess the game couldn't bear to finish off any of your good puppers. A cat-only run would be fantastic!

Thank you for this Flygon. It was so neat to see this idea brought to life. Personally, my cat Lucy passed away two weeks ago today and to see a deathless Dog-locke right before Christmas really helps to ease her not being here. If you DO decide to do a cat-locke, you'd better believe I will be posting her name as a submission. Until the next run mate; keep playing around that critical hit.
