Hey yo MDB, I am watching you since your sunkern run and I am a big Fan and I have a Challange for you! Can you beat Pokémon HearthGold / SoulSilver with only using Selfdestruct or Explosion. The Rules: You can only use Selfdestruct or Explosion as your Attacking moves. You can use moves like Protect and defenscurl too. You can catch as many Pokémon´s as you like as long you follow the first rule. No Glitches or Exploits. No Items in Battel (Only held Items) Ps.: You should start with Forretress because it starts with Selfdestruct (if thats not the cause you are allowed to grid till lv. 6 were you learn it normaly) or you start with one of the three regys cause the learn Lock-on and you may need it for Morty´s Ghost Gym. The early Game would be total slow, because of the switch training to handle EXp. and the runs to Pokémon Center.

Just thought of this: You can only use a team of Pokémon with the ability Pick Up; no repeat Pokémon allowed (so no 6 Zigzagoon, for instance). You cannot buy items and must rely on items on the ground, given to you or picked-up by your Pokémon. You can only heal once per Pokémon Centre visited, and no computer healing allowed.

Because it's a good move that makes single player easier and is very flavorful. Smogon and similar rules just literally hate all things that involve RNG. If they had their way literally zero moves would have a chance of miss or failure, there'd be no damage ranges, no critical hits, any move with "damage and [effect]" would always have the effect go off or if they found the effect collectively annoying, the effect would be banned. Not because these things are unfair or badly designed but because a single playstyle doesn't like them. This'd be like me proclaiming the Repel item never should've existed because whenever _I_ play I always sell them for a little extra cash because I don't mind random fights, while to many other people it's an "indespensible necessity" and repel should be up by default at all times in their opinion.

Possible challenge idea "No Grinding Challenge" Throughout the run you can have whatever Pokemon you want, but no exp grinding allowed. More specifically anytime you're in the wild you must make a B-Line to your current destination (whether that be the next location, a previous destination you've been to before, or an item on the route) you must head straight there. You may make detours for trainer battles. For a harder challenge: Anytime you're faced with a wild encounter you must try to flee at least once (unless you're specifically trying to catch something).

I'd love to see a challenge where you run through a game with only one type for a whole team. Maybe limit to a 3 mon team so you don't sweep with secondary-type coverage, or stack an additional challenge on top to make it harder

I just did a gen 2 furret/sentret solo run. Extremely easy up through Elite 4 with dig, return, surf, and amnesia that I never used. Didn't even need to grind after getting from level 2 to the first gym.

Hey, just a lil bit of feedback: When displaying the stats and moves in the beginning, it would be incredibly helpful to have a picture or the name of the Pokémon above or below the tables, bc even though you said which one was which, I found it a bit hard to process that bit of info while skimming through the moves and comparing the stats all at the same time

Well, they learn really useful moves at relatively low levels, such as Double Team, Confuse Ray and Moonlight. They can win some battles by sheer attrition alone. Later in the game they can set up some great combos like Tail Glow + Thunderbolt/Water Pulse, so they can sweep as well.
