I'd like to see an HM slave run: Any pokemon in any generation that can learn at least 4 HM's one of which must be the first HM given in the game. As soon as you get the first HM you can only use HM moves in required battles. It's almost literally the opposite of this run in that you can have a Pokemon with OK stats but an extremely limited move set and almost no type coverage. There are very few pokemon that can learn 4 or more HM's until gen 3, so I recommend starting there. Some candidates: Tropius, Linoone, Tentacool/Tentacruel, Sandshrew (gen4), Krabby, Lickitung, Rhydon, Kangaskhan, Furret, Gligar (gen 4), Sneasel, Corphish, Kecleon, Absol, Buizel (D/P/Pt only).

This series has honestly changed the way I look at pokemon in general. Like, its almost always possible to win these brutal runs, its just how much work you wanna put for it. So when I'm having trouble in a game, I just try to rethink my strategy, moves, etc. I've learned the importants of stat moves too which i never used to worry about.

For a run idea: How about a Gen 1 Dratini run? Literally the only Dragon type move is Dragon Rage, and while it would be useful in early fights... You don't get it until Level 40. Your only damaging move until level 30 is Wrap, which is 15 power. I always forget just how terrible a pokemon Dratini is... Does at least get a good selection of TM moves for later in the run, at least! (But garbage stats)

Just a few tips to make grinds for money and levels easier in FireRed: 1) Put an Amulet Coin on your pokemon. You can double the amount of money made with it, though you'll need 40 Pokemon in the Dex to get it. You can get it in the upstairs observation room between Celadon and Cycling Road 2) Grind in the Sevii Islands, specifically on Island One. They have higher level wild mon and trainers that aren't too powerful but give good experience, and there's an area with plenty of trainers next to a hot spring (going to the center of it restores your health and by the time you exit it, the VS seeker is charged). They also give out more money than anyone prior to Victory Road. With these in mind, you can make a lot of money in a relatively short period of time and gain good experience, since Kanto's trainers are rather weak close to endgame.

I had this idea just now... you ever heard of Blaze Black and Volt White? They're modified versions of the Unova games that basically make the game harder, have a wider variety of Pokemon, and some other really interesting changes. You could do some challenges with certain team combos there, maybe... one that came to mind is 'beat with one starter of each of the 3 types' as I know that at least in BB/VW2 you can get extra starters, so there's something you could do... of course you could do others but that was just one that came to mind. Love these videos, hope you can keep having a blast making them...

Assuming this works like the Metronome challenge, where he could have multiple Pokemon of the same evolutionary line, the Pokemon used would have to both learn Frustration by level-up and be able to hit ghosts with a normal move. If that's possible in any gen, it would be an interesting run.

Rustyspottedcat he would have to use buneary, as they are the only one to get it by level up,so a way he could do this is in HGss have a buneary as his starter, play regularly till goldenrod, then catch a Pokémon that does not like him in the grass. Go to the store on Sunday, get frustration. Catch miltank with scrappy ability, tech frustration, beat ecruteak gym. Then u can hit ghost types all the way thru with miltank

Hey MDB, I dunno if you saw this comment a few videos back, but I'm gonna post it again here. Two things 1: I really wanna see a Pokemon Gold with only one Sneasel run, since Ice/Dark is a very frail type, Sneasel is a glass cannon, and Ice/Dark did not support Sneasel being a physical glass cannon until Gen 2 2: You never mention if you do it, but in Gen 5 one way you can make the challenge go a bit faster is catch 5 Lillipups on Route 1 with Pickup, and grind them up to level 21 to pick up rare candies with the EXP Share from Castelia City Battle Company on the 55th floor by battling the Janitor at the end. This would speed up the challenge a ton if you can get a bunch of rare candies for the end of the challenge

On the pokemon yellow pikachu only run he didnt re use the fossil bit and for runs in which the game doesn't have a fossil in the overworld (cant remember which gen it is, might be Gen 4) he uses a previous gens fossil gag. He probably has the clip saved just encase he forgets to record the bit

I want to start by saying I do love your videos and admire your dedication. Having said that, you saying you wanted to make it harder by using a worse pokemon in the intro made my brain translate it like this: "Beating my balls to death with a bat hurt like hell.
