I don't think the badge boost glitch should be counted against you, it's almost literally unavoidable since the AI frequently uses stat lowering moves on you and even some attacks have chances to lower stats, also activating the glitch. It's really basically just a gen 1 quirk at this point

Honestly, I want to see you try a HeartGold Skorupi run. He's pretty weak, having only 50 attack and 30 special attack (best stat is defense) and he's a poison/bug type, in a game where rock, fire, and flying types are incredibly common. Plus ground types, but he also learns a lot of tms so I figured you could have fun with it. Plus, you haven't done a run in HGSS yet, and I thought you may enjoy it, and it's more difficult.

That's why I argued this run by MDB isn't valid because even though he used double team for just evasion, it still was a bug that he knew that substantially helps him out. It's irrelevant if he did the badge boost on accident or not, he was fully aware of the glitch and still did it. It'd be like if a player cheated on accident in a game or committed a penalty that wasn't intentional. They still should be penalized for it.

Regigigas is terrible in PVP where most fights are decided really quickly and forced switches like Roar are present. But in PVE, it would be much easier since the first pokemon in most teams is weak and you can waste time on it until Regigas is ready to sweep the whole team. You can't control the badge boost glitch from happening, already only cause of your opponent using Growl and Tail Whip etc. JRose abuses it in his runs aswell, so even though it IS a glitch, it's not one that'd make solo pokemon runs invalid.

Probably not. Since you'd only have 5PP on all moves and not be able to boost attacking stats, full teams would be almost certainly impossible Then again Pikasprey did beat Gen 1 with it

Actually imposter isn't gonna help that much. All the rivals, gym leaders, elite four members and other trainers use their weakest pokemon first. So, that means ditto will transform into that weak pokemon and you have take out others with that same pokemon. Then there's the problem with the pp of the moves. So, sometimes ditto with transform is better than imposter cause you can use struggle.

Unique Challenge suggestion: Towards the end of pokemon platinum, Volkner is stated to be an almost unbeatable trainer and the strongest gym leader in Sinnoh. He also states before battling the player that if he was to win, he will then challenge the elite 4. Could Volkner have been the champion of Sinnoh? Try beating platinum with his team, but the catch is: Your pokemon are capped at his levels. Electivire : lvl 50 Raichu: lvl 46 Luxray: lvl 48 Jolteon: lvl 46 Also, try doing it with the same movesets as well. If it seems nearly impossible, use whatever moves you want. But as long as the LEVELS STAY CAPPED. Can it be done? :) Edit: As suggested by @Oissu, we can add a lvl 47 Ambipom and a lvl 47 Octillery as a last resort mercy rule, especially because a few have pointed out that Cynthia's Garchomp may be an absolute nightmare.

Hey, I got 2 things to post here after the usual of great video! 1: I still hope you one day do a Pokemon Gold with only Sneasel since I foresee it being a fun challenge but a brutal one 2: So I know you find Gen 5 to be super hard, but I have a way to possibly make it easier. You may already do this, but on Route 1 you can catch Lilipups who can usually have the Pickup ability, and if you grind them up to level 21 using the EXP share which you can get before the 3rd gym, you can possibly pick up Rare Candies to make the runs a bit easier. Maybe this would help you with making Gen 5 runs faster

Y’know, this is one I’ve thought about doing myself someday, since Aron was one of my favorite Pokémon growing up. I thought its design and cry were adorable, which is why I loved catching & raising them, especially with Premier Balls for some reason. Makes me want to hunt and catch a shiny one in a Premier Ball for the color matchup, but also, I think its typing will cause it to get brick walled at many points in Emerald.

Unless you use no boosting moves, have no lowering moves used on you after Brock, using pokedolls, or miss due to the 1/256 glitch, no. So prepare for endless resets(after Brock because Badge boost doesn't work before him.)
