@@ricklancaster2218 Rick Lancaster - Souled Out Keyframes are the main frames of the animation. Usually, you'd draw the keyframes, and then add "inbetweens" to connect them up, and make the animation more fluid. So you'd usually start with the first keyframe, and the final keyframe. You'd then fill it in between there. Rendering and flat shading are different ways of colouring in a drawing. A flat colour drawing it just a shape, it doesn't have shading or "depth". A full render, on the other hand, will be the fully completed drawing. It'll have complete shading and "depth". I'm not actually an animator, so I might have gotten some of that wrong. I'm pretty sure it's all correct, though.

Like start with a stick figure, that walks / fight ("fast" animatable) then draw a bit more thick figure -> animate, now use the new animation as reference and evolve even more, until you reach a morty like animation. Hey Ben! As a programmer, I think it would benefit you to know how this algorithm works. Just skimming through the paper helps. It probably will not work that well with this kind of animations because of the low temporal coherence/stability. If the shape of the mouth completely changes from frame to frame the assumptions of the algorithm breaks down and as such it's obvious the results aren't as great (still impressive!)
@MenkoDany5 жыл бұрын
One thing I suggest you try is the following: generate intermediate frames and then feed that to the algorithm. Use whatever after effects has to created inbetween frames, at least 4 in case of completely different shapes and 1-2 in case the shapes are similar. Then run that on EbSynth, and pick out the original animation frames without the inbetween frames. It will either be significantly better at the cost of more processing time, or much worse :) But it is worth a try!

I also mostly tried it with one key frame (the one provided by draw with jazza) and the result is mind-blowing!

this was so dope! you should try using it with more art styles. like changing 3d animation to anime, or 70s cartoon network in to ghibli. im super excited to see communities around this software grow, the intertextual remix potential is limitless!!

Hm...will be pretty boring for humans.

@@Chandlerbingeling - Not at all. Humans will have a better chance at creating fluently. In the past, 3D animation required a studio. Now we have single developers making Ultra realistic shortfilms. There are always ambitous people out there so we should expect some amazing pro work done by indies in the future.

Looks pretty good. The live action footage used with this kinda reminds me of rotoscoping, and if anything, this could be a fun tool for that.
