The relationship between an attorney and client is intended to a professional relationship that is beneficial to both parties. However, a personal injury claimant has the absolute right to change lawyers at any point during a personal injury case. In fact, the claimant does not need a reason to do so, but when this happens, it is typically because:
There is a perceived failure to communicate;
The client is unable to reach his or her actual attorney;
The lawyer is unresponsive and not returning my calls or emails;
The lawyer has not explained his/her case strategy;
The lawyer has not explained the case progress;
The claimant feels that there been insufficient progress in the case; and/or,
The claimant loses faith in the lawyer and/or the representation.
However, before you decide to fire your lawyer, you should carefully consider the costs and time you’ll need to spend on finding another attorney.

When it comes to divorce attorneys, remember these are The attorneys who graduated in the bottom 50 % of their class. Right there that shows they are LAZY. If you are concerned that something is not right, and your attorney says this is normal. If you don’t reconcile your concern, you are going to be upset forever with the results. Get another opinion and or approach that feels right. Another thing, divorce attorneys are notoriously poor at accounting. See my comment above about their academic efforts. All divorce attorneys are good at figuring their legal bill however. So that makes it incongruous with their ability to add subtract and preform other arithmetic functions. Amazing! Get an attorney that is direct complete and economically effective with your legal fees. Don’t talk or complain with them do that with someone else. Insist on milestone performance without a lot of letter writing (legal billing time).

Hi! My lawyer have my case for over 13 years, when I call they don’t answer the phone I leave messages they don’ return my call and messages I don’t know anything of my cases and i don’t have any medical assistance I don’t know anything of my cases what should I do?

Don't keep calling - send them multiple Emails so your requests are documented. Just in case you need to file a legal malpractice case against your current attorney! Hopefully, it's not that serious. Attroneys always read their Emails!!!

The term is not ‘he’s a dumb f..’ it’s “Inadequate representation “. These legal people are so nice to each other. But yeah, if it’s not working point to the law, and you are allowed to employ adequate representation for your defense. Go back to the people store as many times as necessary.

Of course they can-when you file a grievance with the State BAR, you might as well file a grievance with your local bartender. Find another attorney and scrutinize he/she before signing the contract (you still have 72 hours after signing to end the agreement).
