You are the best tour guide. I enjoy seeing other people use stealth. In my current run I am having fun doing stealth kills with spear power attacks from several meters away. It may not have the multiplier of a machete, but since I don't have to get so close, they're less likely to wake up.

One of the best tier 6 Infestations is the Red Mesa Compound honestly. Lots of narrow paths really encourage you to use shotgun slugs and shred through the horde of feral soldier Zeds and the loot is really worth it.

You have to kill the zeds in the small lootroom, it is not optinal. otherwise it wont count as cleared. Failed the quest the first time i was there because the button was bugged. Just figured out later that you can smash bugged buttons... Looking forward for int build :)

i think if i remember correctly in one of the dev streams the Fun Pimps said the made the triggers to fire sooner so we cant sneak up on the zombies as easily. so like you cross into 1 room and trigger all the zombies in it and the next room too even if you're sneaking in.

Thought: If it wouldn't hose the aesthetics you're going for, I put my SMG turrets for home defense on a crenelation looking along the wall. Increases the number but also the effectiveness. Not necessary but I also put a 3 deep trench around the abode with only one way up so that the zombies are funneled to a spot of my choosing.

Hey Iz, nice video, nice serie, as always ^^ Thank you for showing what is still stealth-friendly in them Poi's, was really looking for that. I did some testing with smg-turrets too, and the most efficient design, for me, was to set up the turrets on 3+ high pillars, outside of my base perimeter, and facing inwards. So it takes more relays, but they have all the time in the world to kill the screamers, or anything else, no matter how close they are. Also during your craft base construction, u were questionning about steel doors being a thing, have a look at the "prison" blocks. It has both the bars to make a fence and the 1x2 door. They really helped for me as they have the high hp, and can be shot thru.

You can tell you're on nightmare by how much damage these things soak up. I've spent 1k+ ammo and multiple repair kits on a single T6 infested. Can't even remember how many meds it took. Also, too many people sleep on explosives. I see tons of streamers who don't even use them. You can use dynamite to restructure a POI in your favor or almost instantly dig up a treasure. Using contact grenades through a door like Iz did is probably one of the only cost effective way to do high end T6's. You'd just run out of ammo otherwise.

We found that putting turrets on blocks attached to the side of thew walls and pointing them along the wall worked best. Just placed one turret at the corner of each wall and this covered the entire wall. You could double this by putting a turret at each end of the wall point towards the centre and that should handle anything.

so there's a sneaky cheese way to do the last room. at the bottom of the elevator shaft on the wall with the glass destroy the pipes and you can get in without settin off triggers. just stand back from it.

Honestly back when you could stealth crouch your way through a POI with a bow was a lot of fun. Most people don't have the patience and honestly guns blazing can be faster, so not sure why that approach was nerfed. Felt like a different test of skill and way to play.

13:58 sadly it is not considered clear if you skip the room, the game counts unspawned triggers as unclear, in my current world im playing we clear pois out of order often skipping triggers, meaning that we dont know where the trigger happens and cant clear the poi until finding it

i had a time where we left a poi because the switch to trigger the spawns didnt work, and we had to break it instead which then triggered it. so not only do untriggered spawns not count as clear, but you can get triggers that dont activate without a stupid process

If your're talking about the POI where you have to activate a button (shotgun messiah, pop n pills and Red mesa compound) wich is bugged or not triggered... Just break the button with a pick or an auger and that's it. Problem solved

When you get to finding purple steel armors it really pays to pay attention to the stats. If you want to get your armor so it'll take off 90% of damage you must do that because there's a range between around 12 up to around 16 for the rating. You'll be keeping stuff that'll be a tenth of a percent better.

Cheesing it is using brains. Plus not recommending this for your back but for those that have trouble with zombies at the walls despite using turrets like you did, a set of them facing the sides of the wall, so they are just focused on the ground around the walls can clean up the rest, but that is if you can expend such resources to them

@IzPrebuilt About 14:00 - the answer to your question about skipping that room is no, you cannot. I didn't do that room immediately and it bugged out on me and broke the quest, just this last weekend (so with this update).

I don't know if you've played a tier 6 infested county jail in the wasteland yet, but you should. I carry 2 tier 6 maxed out M60s and a maxed out smg with mg and pistol book series AND skill trees maxed out... and I've still had some close calls in there, even with Get Tanked and tier 6 steel armor. Not Navezgane corrections btw.. county jail is a different POI. It would make a great series finale is all I'm saying. Play it before it gets patched. You'll see what I'm talking about if you do. It's glitched or something rn because there are way too many zeds.

You could just put the turrets inside the walls to the sides of the doorway and let the door open. The turrets will simply "greet" any unwanted guests. I'm guessing 6-8 turrets can quickly deal with most threats 😅

screamers are different in Alp 21 just the heat from your base will bring them in. If you are not there they will no spawn zombie but if you are in the base they will scream even if they dont see you now. If you are there they will sense you and scream without seeing you.

I do think the arbitrary triggers are negative because if you, heavens forbid, build anything that isn't strength or fortitude, a lot of your damage output goes away once you're detected and can't sneak attack

You should put your perimeter doors flush with the wall so the screamers can't hide in the doorway. Or put your turrets out 1 block to give them a better angle at the Zombies on the wall. Just a thought. I know you are good at this game.

I just started playing on July 3rd right before the update. But saying that I want to say. I've watched quite a few videos because I'm trying to learn. So I've watched a bunch of people and you are by Far my favorite and I just like the way you are not over the top and your, not doing KZbin faces and buzzwords... I Do have 1 question for you about the game If you could help me that would be cool but I wanted to know if You park your vehicle out front of quest job and then start the quest and it resets everything. Does that include your vehicle? I know if you put storage boxs that it will erase them.

I put my sentry guns on towers pointing in towards the walls, so the wall it's self does not block bullets and the view of the zombie. alternating smg and shotgun turrets. 7 blocks out, 6 blocks high, 9 blocks apart for overlapping fields of fire, with an electric fence strung 1 block out from my walls to shock lock . At the moment i am thinking of stringing a secondary electric fence line at the wall it's self to help reduce wall damage when the first line gets swapped and the odd zombie get glitched past the outter line of wire by others pushing it through? A dart trap under set into the ground infront of access doors deals with most pta jehovah witness visitors [sadly illegal IRL in the UK ]

It was harder getting purple batteries in alpha 20. Turrets work better when you mix them. Because they don't reload at the same time. Takes forever for them to reload. I have two junk turrets on the ground and one each of SMG and shotty aimed down at my walls. That takes care of wandering hordes very well. I have them out on iron bar overhangs so they can aim back to the base of the wall.

I have one shotgun turret on the roof of my horde base and a sledge turret. That gets every vulture. I have it aimed up at the sky so it doesn't shoot at the other zombies.

The new tier fives pois are way harder as infestations than the older tier fives. Basically the nursing home is way harder than Shotgun Messiah Factory. The correctional facility is definitely insane nightmare.

also i noticed u break the chem stations after you loot it. i found if you leave 1 item inside and break it high chance for acid. i think when u loot u get very low chance of acid. or no chance for acid. Police cars also have chance to spawn the zombies when u break not 100% chance of them spawning but still not worth the pain in early days :P its by far one of the most annoying things with 7 days to die with no zombie in signt then u trigger like 20 of them which in some places look like where did they even come from ???? just spawn in like cyberpunk police.

a better way to use turrets as base defense is to leave your doors open, so the screamer can walk right in, then you just have couple shotgun turrets right after the entrance that all shoot same time, so she cant scream in time, should also use motion sensor to toggle the turrets on, so they dont waste fuell if nothing is actually there

If you have a generator plugged into a battery bank, the compenents will draw from the generator before the battery This is fine if that's what you want, BUT I want the generator there to recharge the batteries and to be emergency power

Here you go lvl6 steel club for infinite swings with garunteed knockdown,mods are spikes for armor, burning shaft, ergonomic grip, and weighted head. Guns: autoshotty even the pump is insanely good now. Mods: duckbill. Bro for real we've been sleeping on this thing. Its like a goddamn bullet sword that just lops multiple heads off with one not even really well placed shot. A drum mag(or tube extender) a fullauto trigger group, red dot and a stock for better hip fire. And if you just don't like shotguns the probly best overall build is machinegunner skill combined with the book series finished. You can fight every horde on foot without running out of stamina and no need for mega crushes with the books finished perk and a college jacket.. Cuz you be zoomin. The m60 has absurdly high damage with good investment makes it a force to be reckoned with via good hip fire and all the other perks that are tied with this weapon type. Never worry about ur horde base failing again, as you will be able to fight it on foot garunteed. Honestly it's so fun. Get run n gun maxed and parkour lvl2 and finish machine gunner series amd at least 3 or 4 pts into machine guns and a college jacket and ur unstoppable. Like actually. The pistols and rifles dont even come close in terms of overall perks gained and surviving a horde night on foot.

However yeah I necer read tge second half of ur original comment so in regard to spears and the baton they've buffed them considerably. Starting with batons if you look in the physician tree, the 3 pt and onward is chance to one shot with batons. Like their effectiveness has been split between electrocutioner and physician I believe and possibly damage mightve been buffed too. I will say if all you have is a shock baton it can save ur ass in a pinch as it stuns them into a complete stop. And spears seem to be a lot better too as you cant tgrow them anymore and as with any other weapon type the accommodating book series, helps tremendously with cool tgings you can do with them. So id look through the spears books if I were you to see if any of them tickle ur fancy. They do sound pretty cool now. Especially their super extended range. You know how to look at all the books right? Like in the skill page to see what youve found and what you havent?

Ya I was just scrolling through the physician skill cuz I heard the first rank cures sprains instantly which is so so so good as there wasnt a way before, and so I started look at the rest of it to see how else they wouldve nade it worth the perk points and yeah I saw batons have a chance to instakill in that tree. So that's pretty cool imo lol. Ya check them out along with the books for them and also I have noticed that spears are very close in terns of damage to clubs. I think with equal tech tiers and equal quality, the spears are only like 2 pts of damage less than clubs with varying amounts probly do to the variable stat bonuses of multiples of the sane thing. Like grab 5 lvl6 steel clubs and theyll all have different dmg

How hard it gets has quite a bit of RNG to it. You might have a high game stage but that doesn't mean you'll always get the toughest zombies -- it'll give you up to the toughest zombies. It's like that with blood moon hordes too. You might get the toughest last wave of one or it could be made up of standard zombies.

You could do a POI where you get harder zombies by not clearing it for a trader. Because a lot of the trader quests are set up to have 'this exact kind of zombie' pop out at you.

I don't see the point of the switches in your power room at the top. You can toggle generators and battery banks, aren't the switches just more work as you need to activate both the device (generator or battery bank) as well as the switch? I've not done much electricity so maybe I'm missing something.

It seems like you get a lot of comments regarding ‘cheesing’ that aren’t actually about exploiting. In my opinion as someone that both greatly enjoys exploiting videogames, as well as appreciates good tactics, I think the two ought not be mistaken for each other. Exploiting the game involves using the game’s mechanics against itself to obtain an unintended result that shouldn’t work that way, and in a perfect simulator wouldn’t. Using block shapes to confuse zombie path finding is cheese. Putting a hatch in a doorway to create a barrier they have to break through before getting to you is not. That’s using the mechanics of the game to your benefit by simply using the build mechanic. I think some people are just bitter that they can’t think on their feet or strategize, and so want to delegitimize other people’s skills in a vain attempt to bolster their ego. Love your stuff, keep it up! 👍👍
