No caffeine at all... It's addictive and should be treat as a drog also like other drogs. One cup is sufficient to decrease blood flow in the brain there is studies about that already. I'm coffe free!

I watched your videos throughout my pregnancy and I have to say, thank you for all your valuable advice! I used your breathing techniques and was able to have a natural home water birth. My family could not believe how well I did for my first delivery. I truly believe it’s because of your encouragement that I was able to stay focused during labour. Thanks again!

Yes! I discovered Dandy Blend about a month ago (2nd trimester) and it has been such a great substitution for coffee! Definitely recommend for anyone looking to decrease their caffeine intact!

So helpful and it gives me peace of mind. My breville espresso maker makes me a double shot and I make an americano in the mornings. It comes out to about 150 milligrams of caffeine. Way under the recommended 200-300.

Can you do a video on what to expect from a doula? What should I look for when finding one? What do they actually do? Do they show up for the whole labor? Thanks!
@ShadesofSage3 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋🏿! I’m a doula as well and I have a video posted on my channel as what we do as community doulas🤗❤️! Feel free to check it out if you’d like! I personally stay for the entire labor and delivery for my clients, but every doula is different 😀. Hope that helps!

I was a one-two cups of coffee or caffeinated tea a day until my first trimester where my body decided it hates caffeine. The nausea and heartburn from any type of caffeine forced me to quit. The withdrawal symptoms are rough but I can tell my nausea has improved since letting go of caffeine AND i am sleeping a lot better. I drink mint & ginger tea as a morning substitute.

I had read that it was safe to drink caffeine in moderation early in pregnancy, so every few days to once a week, I would either make really strong, plain green tea to help with constipation (hot or iced) or a tall iced coffee with heavy cream. 😬 That might have apparently a bad idea for someone with low iron before pregnancy and now in my late trimester I have EXTREMELY low levels of iron (5.3-5.8), regardless of how committed I've been to taking prenatal vitamins daily. According to my midwife and the pharmacy, tea and coffee make it difficult for the body to absorb iron very well (same with milk, sadly). I don't feel too terrible, but perhaps I'm just used to any anemic / really low iron side effects and my baby seems great in the ultrasounds healthy weight and a little longer in length. The liquid iron after two weeks has not helped, I now have been prescribed iron pills at 200mg and was asked to avoid coffee, tea and milk as much as I can. We hope that will bring the iron levels up.

Yes! You can definitely start drinking red raspberry leaf tea now🤗! I’m a doula as well and I drunk it starting at 36 weeks for all three of my kids!

I usually just have an 8oz black coffee, but if I’ve been eating well and can afford the extra sugar, I loooove a nice iced chai tea latte from our local coffee place! I could live off of the stuff!!

I’m in my first trimester and today i have been extremely exhausted. Like I’ve taken 3 naps today at it’s only 2:45pm. I gave in and drank 4 sips of a Celsius so i can keep my eyes open for more than 10 minutes. I feel great now, but i definitely won’t make this a habit! I can’t wait to be out of my 1st trimester. 2 more weeks 😭

I didn’t drink any coffee during my pregnancy, but I drink one cup of coffee and sometimes a sugar free Red Bull which only has 80mg of caffeine in it.

Do you have any advice for someone that has a needle phobia? I am completely fine with going into labor but I am so afraid of all of the needles. Currently 32 weeks and getting anxious of the needles when I go into labor
@lauraa.36103 жыл бұрын
Same here... :(
@rachelcaster62012 жыл бұрын
I would say that if everything is going normal you might be able to avoid needles entirely, like if you don’t need any medications or fluids or epidural. And if you do end up needing medicine, you will probably be in enough pain and concentrating hard enough that you would not notice the needle. Either way try to prepare yourself for a natural unmedicated labor and let your doctor know that you would like to avoid needles and medication as much as possible.

When I watch caffeine intake closely during pregnancy my babies don’t sleep well after birth and cry more and I struggle postpartum more but when I don’t watch it as much my baby is happier overall and sleeps well and I heal and feel better postpartum.. 🤷🏼♀️ what gives?? 🤔
@08baby252 жыл бұрын
I limited to a cup a day or every other day. With milk and hardly no sugar. I get really bad caffeine withdrawal headaches when whenever I stop. I drank alot of coffee and redbulls before I got pregnant. But the cup a day is just fine for me.😊

I'm a huge soda (Dr. Pepper) and Cappuccino. This is my second baby I think it's just moderation. Could totally cut back my caffeine intake. Is that why I am having issues getting a positive pregnancy test ,but body is saying I should be by now. I skipped one ovulation prediction for my cycles to figure out how far along I am.

Before getting pregnant I didn’t drink coffee daily, sometimes I’d go a week or two without it. When I got pregnant I stayed off of it for several weeks with almost daily headaches. Then I called it: I have about 100mg every day with a ton of milk and a little agave sweetener.

What about decaf coffee? I haven’t been able to find a clear answer about this online either
@samanthawilliams60083 жыл бұрын
I've heard it's fine but when getting decaf products you want to make sure they are using good methods to make it decaf. You don't want them using chemical solvents to get to the decaf stage. There are methods like the Swiss water method or CO2 method. Probably most organic decafs use one of these.
@ShadesofSage3 жыл бұрын
Decaf still does have some traces of caffeine, just not as much as full caffeinated coffee!
