This is my 6th pregnancy and I feel the best I ever have. Attributing this to taking really good care of myself nutritionally and physically before getting pregnant but also this is the first pregnancy I've been drinking ionized water. It makes such a huge difference!

100%. Felt this way about my first. It’s was horrible because of the lack up knowledge/control/support... the nurse was completely incompetent and I wasn’t brave or knowledgeable enough to tell her to get lost. So many things. Definitely learned and made changes for my subsequent babies!

I agree with all of this! I spent so much time studying birth and still felt manipulated, unheard and victimized by my birth. Not only did it damage my confidence, my apparent value to the system, but left me physically scarred.

1st. Dictated. 2nd enlightened. 3rd empowered. 1st was typical hospital epidural with some trauma. 2nd was 5 hr labor epidural didn't work he did what he wanted 3rd was birth center and awesome.

I felt my 3 homebirths were amazing and felt amazing after but the pain was still kind of traumatic. Especially in my 2nd (out of 4) that went really fast. Not sure how to move past that. I love birthing naturally but it’s tough.

I’m 41.4, I went to dr today after watching a few videos on this, i was previously check at my 41 appt, I was 1cm dilated, soft cervix, 20-30% effaced.. but checked again today and I’m 1cm, very soft cervix, 70% effaced, she said my cervix was favorable.. I decided to get a membrane sweep, it was painful for me, but I used the breathing techniques… but I’ve been have some contractions now I think for sure, in my back wrapping around cramps! So hopefully I’ll come back and update! Also, I started losing my mucus plug after my 41 week appt, the first time I got checked which was on a Friday and it continued through the weekend into today Monday, I’ve had early labor symptoms a lot since then but no breaking of water and not really any contractions.. but now after the sweep about an hour I’d say, I feel like I’m having contractions!

I know it might be TMI .. but I poop this way .. I never push ... When it's ready, I just relax and my body does the work. 😊

I am so grateful that you are sharing this to empower women to take control of their births! After watching your videos I was sure I did not want to labor on my back. When it came time to push, I tried kneeling and squatting but I got intense cramps in my legs. I ended up pushing on my back but using the breathing techniques it will still 100% manageable and I had a healthy unmediated delivery. I would still probably try to not labor on my back next time, but I wanted to share my story to let mamas know you can still love your birth even if you end up on your back!

I’m getting a bit anxious, my baby is 3.5kg and I want to have a natural birth but I still have 2 weeks to go. My cervix is closed. They keep telling me she’s “big”, I hope I can make it through without an intervention or stitches. 🙏
@JoraelfaКүн бұрын
1. The weight of the baby is guesswork. They can be out by pounds! 2. The weight of the baby doesn't make a huge difference. Just the head circumference. 3. My first baby (3.8kg) was heavier than my second and the birth was easier. Don't be discouraged. Breathe and be excited to meet her soon ❤❤❤

They can be really off at the end with weight estimation. Tend to overestimate more than underestimate it seems.

If you have 2 weeks to go, your cervix is supposed to be closed. I hate that the culture of OBGYN care leaves women feeling like their bodies are broken because they aren't prematurely showing signs of labor, when labor can come on at any time with no warning (and often does just that) your body knows what to do and you do not need a cervical check to predict if you can birth your baby or not. You can say no.

My last birth was the worst. The doctor lacerated my child’s scalp 9 times trying to break my water. Shortly after we ended up having. A C-section where the anesthesiologist used chlorhexadine on my back as an antiseptic before the spinal. I told him I was allergic and he did it anyways because he wasn’t comfortable using anything else. The skin on my back peeled off, blistered and oozed. I couldn’t sleep because of it. The allergic reaction was worse than my C-section. We love to go to litigation of this but lawyers are so expensive.

I cry every time I see your videos. I have had 4 rough births for different reasons. I want to do this one natural, and I am so scared. Im without insurance, so I had to stop going to my appointments, so I am PRAYING the hospital will let me do what I think is right for my body. Im considering waiting at home until the last minute. 🥹

So true! I was induced and had an epidural. All things I thought I wouldn’t need. However it was positive and even joyful because I felt listened to and I made all the decisions along the way. It truly felt like I had a big supportive, calm team on my side. ❤

For my first, my back felt fine, though I labored on hands and knees most of the time. During my second birth, I wanted to be more upright. I was sit/squatting, and able to lean back and rest between squeezes.
