I've been rewatching a lot of your older videos lately as part of my cosy nightime routine, so I've seen this sweater a LOT. And I can't say how excited I am to finally see how you remade it! It's so beautiful.

I have always loved that cardigan, can't wait to knit it . Thank you for all your hard work grading it I need a 42/44" bust so retro patterns don't normally work for me. 😊

I have SO been waiting for this. I just think it is the most attractive vintage sweater I’ve seen, so, yes, I will be looking out for your finished pattern. Good going and thank you so much.😊

The pattern is a very basic two color tuck stitch pattern and you can also easily create it on your knitting machine ;) I can give you the instructions if you need them 😊

Wow! I like seeing how you examine the sweater. I’m a knitter taught by the book “knitting without tears” by Elizabeth Zimmerman. It’s a completely different way to achieve fit without seams or patterns for pieces. You just need the stitch pattern, gauge, and finish measurements. I’d love to see you try her style I think it would bring a lot to your vintage examinations ❤❤❤ thanks for all your work, you are so careful and clear 😊

I definitely had one of those scrunchy shirts. Constantly had to keep pulling it down to my waist because it just wanted to scrunch back up.

I think it'll be perfect in size after a good blocking. I also think crocheting a border around the button band and collar would help them sit better.

A very interesting process! Thanks for sharing! Something I find intriguing in the original cardigan is that the bobbles are offset on the two fronts when buttoned. I'm curious if that's a matter of construction technique or if the original button holes were accidentally added such that they offset the design. You mentioned that you placed the button holes in the same place, though, so I'd be interested to know if something else changed to make yours not offset.

So excited about this pattern!!! It looks awesome and thank you for sharing your pattern drafting process with us. It's so cool that you were able to find an exact match for the stitch pattern in a knitting book from the era. It makes me think about the person who knit your original cardigan and whether they used that exact book and why they chose those colors. Honestly, I kinda want to make this cardigan with rainbow bobbles. I think that would be so fun.

this is incredible. I love that you showed us through your process of figuring out the pattern design and construction and how you pull inspo from designs that fit the era of your vintage knits. but H O W did you get the perfect yarn colorways?! idk if I missed you talking about the process of sourcing the right yarn but it’s perfect!

I’ve never seen a button hole done for a knitted garment on a sewing machine like that before. My initial thought was that it would come apart but obviously it’s held up on your original sweater!

@@bohemiansusan2897 you might want to check out "Warm&Wonderful" . As I understand it they were the ones who originally knitt the sheep sweater and they still sell it, but it's kinda pricey. If you are willing to pay that much I am sure it'll be worth it!

I am wondering why sound quality has changed on your last two videos. Is KZbin the problem? My other videos are not skipping and distorted??? I love your videos and will watch even with sound problems but if there is something you can do…. I am very interested in this particular stitch pattern. I love the sort of stained glass effect, or like ribbons pulled through, love it.
