Hi Zed, I think you can increase the fall distance even more! In my testing with riding horses, the fall damage is halved (even if the animal dies). By adding the horse to the equation, you can fall 9007 blocks (I tested it to about 8900, so I'm assuming it should be possible all the way to that calculated limit). That said, actually getting above the 4507 record may be more difficult with this method, because you'd have to be riding a horse from that height (fall distance is based on how far the horse fell), and horses (or any other ridable mob) can't wear elytra. The two methods I could think of that'd work for survival are either a super precise TNT cannon + turtle master to hopefully not explodificate you and the horse, or flying the horse up to that height with elytra + a lead, getting on the horse, and still hitting the target.

Hey Zed, love the fall damage achievement, brilliant stuff! :D You should reach out to Doc, see if the hive mind and him can come up with a player launcher that launches the player up the exact amount of blocks needed for the max fall damage. If he can launch creepers over dozens of chunks I'm sure he can launch you up as well!

I want you to know Zed, a friend of mine messaged earlier today to ask us what is the number of individual items a person can collect in Minecraft. I immediately said "Well... you could watch Zedaph" and linked your episode and explained the Hall of All. I think you should fall from 4508 blocks as well. Because from a strict scientific point of view, you only proved that 4507 blocks doesn't kill you, not that it is the maximum. And a nice big splat is always fun. "For scieeeence!" :D

I don't knew whether you noticed later or not, but that "face" on the front of the sniffer is actually its nostrils. Its eyes are on the sides. I have a hard time "seeing" it that way, but it's true! Look at the sides, you can find the eyes.

i know that it's a bit late but you could have dropped the landing platform by 7 blocks to -7 that way you were just aiming for a nice and even 4500 while still falling the full 4507

Wait... wouldn't it be easier to just fly 100 blocks higher, drink a potion of slow fall and then drink milk at the right time to start the fall or am I thinking of this wrong? does milk not cancel slow fall?

I feel like there's no way that the healing could apply in the middle of a damage calculation, it would either happen before it (no effect because you're still at full health) or after it (no effect because you're already dead. Also timing it exactly right would be near impossible

Idk much about how the game code works, but if you need precise timing, having a lingering potion on the ground or maybe a block above it could do it. Or maybe tripwires and dispensers.
