Lab is such a cool deck (without filthy floodgates) i really love the furniture fullcombo on your opponents turn. He played super well considering this was his first time lab. And even without Transaction Rollback he managed to get to Diamond , which proves just how good the deck is without needing all those staple cards like Ash , Maxx C , Called By

The thing I love about Lab combos is that they're solid with a couple cards, but they scale up with more. The basic clock + furniture combo to pop one with Lovely and put Big Welcome in your grave is nice, but if you add in a Lady you get to set a trap, and if you start the combo by using Butler instead of furniture, you can even have clock activate the trap that Lady set. Extenders that actually extend combos instead of just being hand trap insurance are so rare in modern Yugioh, but they're always so nice when they do show up.

Earned a sub from this one. The whole series has been great (for me 😅) considering i havent played this game for almost 20 years and im old now, but my 10 year old nephew is hooked and he challenges me all the time now. So seeing how you play some of these decks has been very helpful. That being said, holy shit, the plays from some of these players throughout this series has been mind boggling. I dont know if its because im old school or if todays game is just autopilot combos into mistakes. Anyway great stuff. Stay blessed.

Fwiw, against a competent Yubel player, its probably best to Imperm the Spirit off of the Samsara summon. Because they have multiple ways to put that Samsara in grave and then revive it later, which means your imperm essentially did nothing.

I'm not sure how, but it feels like there's potential for a middle ground where cards are still getting banned after every win/game but it's not just stream chat trying to hurt someone as much as possible.

@@SawyerFan.1 It's Master Duel. Playing a single card takes a few seconds. Just have a word/notepad file open and quickly type out the names. Or if you want to get higher tech, have a spread sheet with each card name in the deck and a check box. Click the box of the card when it shows up.

There will always be something to complain about. I'm not a Maxx-C fan, but it creates another layer of complexity. Top tier decks can play through a handtrap and protect themselves from Nibiru as a part of their linear combo, but Maxx-C being legal makes the opponent make a decision if they want to waste their precious Ash on it or keep it for enemy's key search. Do you want to Called By if you have Maxx-C in hand? What is the optimal play under Maxx-C to not let the enemy draw too much but also have something to defend yourself? Also, there are decks that don't really care about Maxx-C, like Floo, Lab or Stun, all of them are pretty common in current meta and stuff like Dark World and Vaylantz can straight up deck out the opponent. It's also funny how many people complains about Maxx-C when Ash Blossom is played in pretty much every deck too and nobody says a word about her. And about the argument "but it's 3 cards that instantly win the game" - you have 6+ cards that can prevent that. You have a way higher chance of drawing answer to Maxx-C than Maxx-C. Coder is struggling mostly because chat banned those counters.

⁠​⁠​⁠​⁠@@xerael4659you realize ash is played that much because of maxx c? and even if maxx c was banned and ash still has a high usage rate, its because ash is a good card. it doesnt end games alone like maxx c does. additionally you absolutely called by their maxx c when you got maxx c in hand. as you stated later, the opponent has 6 outs to your maxx c which they probably drew right? if you finger their maxxc, you put up 5 disruptions instead of relying on a singular card to carry your ass, which is the problem of maxx c. every mentally sane person would use their previous ash on the opponents maxx c because their endboard consists of other ways to disrupt the opponent. and yes decks like stun and lab are good against maxx c. but tell me, why didnt lab, stun, floo ever be a tier 1 deck? maxx c should stop combo decks shouldnt it? why isnt it working? why are combo heavy decks still better? your last points is absolutely braindead, what about 60 card decks? can they draw the out to maxx c as easy as a 40 card deck draws maxx c? even if, there are times where you simply dont draw the out, either pass on nothing or give the opponent 10 cards. the argument „maxx c is fine because there are counters“ isnt hitting. lets unban pot of greed, cuz there is ash right? lets unban soul charge cuz there is bell right? you are definitely either a stun or a floo player, getting carried by maxx c and crying once maxx c gets ashed and your opponent full snake eye combos you.

And the only optimal play under Maxx C is to pass, cause giving the opponent even 1 extra card is too dangerous. And unlike Nib, Ash, Droll, etc. it cant be played around or through unless you are one of 3 decks which are less then 1% of decks btw. its either negate it or pass your turn. The reason people dont complain about Ash is its a 1 for 1 trade only for certain effects, that can be played around and through. And do the math even if you have every possible generic out you have less then a 60% chance of drawing a out and a single starter in a 40 card deck who cares if you have a "higher chance" of drawing a out, it shouldnt be a consideration in the first place Little bro stop yapping you clearly are a Maxx C defender get outta here.

@@FrostReave i just had the rank up game now to d2 and it was the most intense shit i've ever faced, i did put the best dlink board ever and i was playing against a horus tear yubel snake eyes pile and they were able to play through all those interruptions and resolve grass and kept spamming snow and at their last interaction they needed just ONE more card in their grave or hand or field to resolve snow again in zeroboros zone to wipe my field but they miscalculated and banished their zeroboros. It was sooooo close yet so far but that game was just peak yugioh for me

@@wickederebus GOAT and Pre Goat was awful but Hat going forward was really stable and healthy with very rare blips of problems like Dragon Rulers. Pendulum and the following Firewall FTK formats were pretty bad but after that Toss going forward we were once again in a pretty stable position until POTE came around in particular Tearlament. After that it was one tier 0 format after another and insane spikes of powercreep that left no decks pre POTE in a playable position really. Floodgates also became more common as a result not to mention new and more problematic floodgates became printed or facilitated. Anyway your perspective is too limited.
