We use different measurements, but if I try to match it. He sold me 3+ full cord of wood for 120. I have to cut and split them and I can easily sell them 1000+. "Gooder" surprise. No, your yield is usually 5/6 as much so six full cords of logs makes 5 full cords or so.

Yup, the hard maple is good stuff! I called him and Scott back in spring and they told me to call someone else for oak, they did not have any and they never called me back and I had the same response from several other places too. I did call Scott and ordered a load of cherry, a couple months ago, never heard back??? So now I have a new supplier! I have bought 8 loads so far from them.

Chris make 40 acre to turn his logger truck around . If I was running the logging truck , I put the hardwood to one side for you own take a sec . I put 2 or 3 across the bottom keep your firewood off the dirty . Have a great day I’m off to the bearings shop , bearings in from Ontario for my track equipments for hunting J- 5 . 😊

I was one of those who asked about the pre split logs. I think it was your first or second load to the new site, there were dozens of half logs split lengthwise. They were all fresh, not like this one today. This log looks to me like a tree that had split while standing. Those others looked like they split somehow in the harvesting. Good to see the felines.

Just got a load of ash with a sprinkle of birch, 14 cords at $105 per cord. Needs only a week or two of drying after splitting to finish drying on the bigger stuff, and is pretty dry to begin with!

Chris, is there any chance you could make a video of the logging operation where this wood comes from. Being from Missouri I can’t picture a stand with that much maple of that size. We don’t have any native beech here so I don’t know what they look like. Do you have to discount the birch to get it all sold?

I am sure there is a logical reason for the order he unload the bunks but it doesn’t make sense to me. He does the back trailer front bunk first and swings it forward. Then he unloads the truck and swings it to the back. Is he just a big kid that loves playing with his toys?

Ive come to realize that buying logs might be the way to go but 1 tri-axle log truck (with no trailer) is right around 1k a load and getting 7-10 full cords worth of wood but people are selling face cords around my area for 50-60 bucks and full cords anywhere from 160-200 (picked up) but at that rate it's not even doubling your money.

I'm like why don't you use it and this guy has everything I use his splitter even, and he say I get it for 50$ a truck load /1/3 cord why would you even do it yourself, there's no money in it around here....
