When your soldering iron tip is on the bigger side, you can still solder tiny traces by using a lot of soldering flux.

Here's an idea: buy a Type-C breakout board and install it to Vita (you can keep the original connector, there's enough space for Type-C board between the main board and the left controller board). That's something microscope can help you with as pins are very small on the 1000 Vita (unlike Nintendo consoles, which are very easy to do this kind of mod). Many people done that (me included) and viewers might be interested in seeing Vita being modernized a little bit (not having to carry a separate cable is a huge W).

Nice repair, I lost my Vita 2000 to stick drift I just knew the left stick drifting to the point of games being unplayable and I opened it up not to clean it, but swap the L and R joysticks because I deemed left more important than right. I had put it back together and the screen wouldn't come on, no sound either but I could get a power light at least. I was a little rough on the ribbon cables but didn't see any obvious damage

For glass screen you can try some glass screen removers for windscreen but not sure how much it could help. If it's really bad you can still replace whole screen. It's pretty cheap around £16
