@@McTrailRider What casing do you normally ride? DH? Enduro/other mid weight? I've never been tempted to run inserts for the reasons you say. I'd rather run a heavier casing tire. DH casings plus insert sounds like a real hassle in tire mounting, plus a very heavy wheel to pedal.

@@McTrailRidergets you though, doesn’t it? Easy to forget when you’re in t’alps, but a lot of the riding is higher than the tallest UK peaks. Not sure exactly what elevation humans start to feel it, but definitely it’s there over 5,000ft.
