Great to get Ben Lomond to yourselves, HoverAir drone done really well especially with wind at top great footage, did it need a controller? Skillfully ridden Andy especially over wet rocks in November thanks for sharing! 😁🤙

Great video! i'd be interested to see how the drone follows over a jump line as the old versions just gave a seasick effect!

I’ve got the same drone, absolutely love it, functionally similar to the DJI neo, but the folding mechanism for me clinches it. Down in the South east of England we’ve got trees in a lot of the riding spots, and I try not to fly when there are people about, which again limits it slightly. It does generally bounce off trees though and so far not damaged! I’ve had a couple of instances of it following me but not recording any footage which is annoying. Hopefully the recent firmware updates have fixed that. Great bit of kit and not reliant on my ability to control it which is a definite win!

Is there many proper matb trails down the bottom in the forested bit, recently moved to dumbarton and am looking for places to ride, only have my xc bike for the moment though, do you think it would manage any descents around the area?

That drone makes a lot more sense when you’re riding in a hilly, tree free area. Most of the videos I’ve watched only show the downsides of its lack of collision detection and how easy it is to crash it into trees when you’re not careful. It’s perfect for the wild open hillsides you regularly ride, great video!

The modern world is truly so crazy. This is the story that the royals made up about their king centuries ago to humanize him and convince the common folk not to take up arms and murder them, but it happened for real.

Superb video Andrew, the views as always were spectacular and those trails… WoW! I’ve been using the original X1 drone so fantastic to see the X1 Pro in action as I’ve also now upgraded to the ProMax version for its improved performance. I’m planning to be riding up your way next year, so as usual, your videos are super inspiring and informative so thanks👌. Should you be available, it would be great to meet/ride with you. Stay safe and keep em coming dude🤜🤛.

Really good vid Andrew. Always like your drone footage as the viewer can learn a lot more about technique compared to go pro from your chest/helmet. Would love to learn how you manage to almost stop the bike and swing the rear wheel left/right to get round a v tight corner. What a day to go up Loch Lomond-no people!!!!

That was great Andrew. As usual for your videos the footage was excellent. That wee drone sounds good if it can follow you without the need for a remote control. Did you have the Beacon thing or was it just following you visually?

That wee drone is awesome, but the noise is brutal. I was up An Teallach and some old boy moaned about the noise of my Air 2, you’ll need headphones to stop moaning gits ruining your ride - ha ha - Great stuff tho man! Amazing footage

I do wish the drones weren’t as noisy, but there’s not a huge amount that you do really.

Great vid as always - quick one what brand/sort of brake pads do you run in your code rsc? They seem to take a pounding and always pretty quiet - mine are howling like mad at the moment -appreciate any info

Yep, Code RSC’s. I run Galfer pads and discs when possible. The green pads have given me the best results so far.

You can get rid of the drone noise by recording to your phone via the hover app, could use a wireless mic with it!
@McTrailRider6 күн бұрын
I was using a wireless mic on this video. I’m not a big fan of the processed sound you get when trying to remove certain noises.

Can understand that, triffic vids mate, keep up the good work, I love my x1 pro too hopefully they can sort out the shortcomings and make this drone awesome for mtb content 👍🏻

Man, I'll never get bored of Ben Lomond. Just wish I could ride it not even as fast as you - that ain't happening - but at least with so few stops! The legs just about take it, but the hands and fingers sadly don't. Always a cracking day on the Ben though!
