I first combined patterns for my wedding dress in the late 80s. It’s far easier than you’d think. I used 2 of the same brand, but when I made a corset coat in 2018, I used 3 different patterns from 3 different brands, and that worked fine, too.

That style of pocket is my absolute favourite! When you need somewhere to put your reading glasses, that won’t destroy them as you struggle to get them out of a pocket, this design is so user friendly. I’ve collected a range of them over the years, including your Encore. I’m constantly making them in new & unusual (occasionally disastrous 😂) ways. This mash is fabulous! I might just have to have a crack at this one 😃

The encore back panels and any wrap skirt from any avail wrap pattern make a great hacked "rip-skirt Hawaiian" with a velcro closing on the front crossover waistband. If using bathingsuit fabric, no need to hem or even to hem up the front crossover pieces. Just shorten for beachy vibes.

Tessa! Thank you so much for this idea! I made the dress! Ever since I saw this video I was inspired to make this same dress. I used some lightweight embroidered denim from YEARS in my stash and the dress turned out perfectly! The fit, the look, everything! I made a size 14 bodice with a 2x a-line skirt. The skirt waist was too big for the bodice so I made an inverted pleat below each dart. Problem solved! Again, thanks for this idea! I’m encouraged to do more pattern mashing! LN has great patterns & I own a lot of them!😊 Happy Sewing! ❤❤❤
