Doesn't make much difference. Some women become a muslim revert, leave home and change their life. Some were raped, and they shy, with low esteem, which you bring lower by saying they can't be in the picture at all. Most women in India and usa have been assaulted at some point. A broken marriage may result of women & men, breaking promises and boundaries.

If a man is able to resist his urges and stay pure then he has every right to expect the same from his partner. Majority of non-virgins would have willingly made that "mistake" and guess what, a man can also have plenty of chances to make that "mistake" but may choose not to. In which case, he deserves an equally disciplined wife. And when you talk about "Deen and character", don't a person's actions directly reflect those two things? So what's better than being "purified" afterwards? Being pure from the beginning. Someone's past actions can be a good indicator of their future ones, what's the guarantee they won't commit zina again if they didn't hesitate the first time? The "women who would suffer" will just be facing the consequences for their actions, consequences they weren't mindful of when they were committing that "mistake". It's just how the world works, stop trying to take accountability away from actions.

The advice goes the other way around too, for anyone feeling offended or disheartened by the way the Sheikh worded it. If you make such a mistake and are now considering marrying the man you committed this sin with, you as a girl have to be sure that HE is a good man of good and trustworthy character as well. Make sure he won't be foolish or greedy enough to commit the same sin over and over again. It doesn't hurt the Sheikhs to add a "vice versa" to your words whenever you're giving these "advices". As the sheikh said, they need to truly feel remorse for what they did and then see if they are compatible. Most of the time, you don't see that - you only see them panicking and worrying about covering up the shame. Even for marriage, we all need to prepare for it, not just jump into it because we have needs! What good will we be in a marriage if we don't know about our responsibilities within wedlock? Zina is a major sin. If the guy you committed zina with wants to marry you and if you also want to marry him.....and if you both "luck out" to where the respective parents give their approval (that doesn't always happen).....then go ahead and marry them. But understand that zina does not always result in marriage to the person you committed zina with and it leaves (especially girls/women) in a state of emotional/psychological vulnerability and suspense as to whether or not that act of zina will result in a marriage proposal down the road. In other words...it's a gamble and you're putting yourself at risk. Girls, don't cheapen your value and your self-worth by making yourself so "easily accessible" to a guy. A good Muslim guy will be one who treats you with the same honor/dignity that he would want for his own sister and daughter. In other words, he will safeguard you (and himself) from all the negative consequences of zina and go about things the the halal way ....a way that attracts more barakah inshaAllah. Avoiding zina goes against the current (glamorized) societal trends, but Allah's rules are there for our emotional/physical/psychological/spiritual protection and many times people don't realize the wisdom behind that until after they've crossed that line and find themselves in a state of heartache, pain, regret.

What is the actual purpose of this video? Why do people think zina means the person is not loyal or just no good? Wow. I always miss understood that first part from the Quran. I didn't know that repenting meant that you weren't considered an adulteress anymore, so you could then marry a Muslim (instead of a non-believer or adulterer). I thought that repenting didn't change anything in this situation (other than having the sin forgiven by Allah). I have a question though, it's sorta related to this topic but at the same time not. As an adolescent Muslimah (I'm 16 btw), my body goes hormonal changes which actually makes me want to commit Zina. I don't have the intention to but the pressure on me is so much that I feel like I'm being pushed to. When the thoughts and desires come through, I go to pray and hope it fades away. On several occasions, I've cried to Allah to probably suppress it till I'm ready for marriage but still no changes. It's gotten to a situation that it's taking a toll on me which sorta makes me unable to act normally. I know this would seem weird to a lot of people but I don't know what to do about it any longer. And I don't want to Allah’s (S.W.T) wrath by commiting Zina. If there's anyone that knows a way to help me out of this, please comment below. Thank you

The only thing they left out is also, you need to check yourself and ask if you yourself are worthy of marrying anyone in your current state. You don't want to be negative and think of yourself as someone who could never marry, but if you feel you are falling short of a minimum standard of what makes a person marriageable, then you should try to meet that standard first, before you consider getting married. I advise people to seek the counsel of a Sheikh in this regard, someone knowledgeable that can give you a solid criteria based in Islam, and not in Western Standards.

I asked for marriage to my fellow mate and she agreed. Then she spoke about me to her parents, they spoke to me and my parents.
