Denmark and Canada shares a small landborder by Hans Island now.

That gets into a lot of technicalities. There is a land border between Canada and Greenland. Greenland is a constituent part of the Kingdom of Denmark alongside Denmark and the Faroe Islands. This map was clearly not counting dependencies and only considered Denmark, not the Kingdom of Denmark (as evidenced by Poland being considered larger than Denmark), so it does not have a land border with Canada. This is also consistent with not considering Gibraltar as a border between the UK and Spain. In contrast, French Guiana and Cueta and Melilla are considered integral parts of France and Spain, so they are included. I would argue that they should have greyed out Greenland to be more clear, but for these purposes Denmark and Canada do not have a border.

10:10 I knew it, you will be struggle there. Türkiye - Azerbaijan border that is actually Türkiye - Nakhchivan border (Azerbaijan's exclave autonomous republic) is so small (8 km or 5 mi). The reason of that border Türkiye bought small area from Iran to reach Azerbaijan after the Lausanne Peace so that we call this border: Gate of Turkic.
@eikozanoid11 ай бұрын
@@Chubbs- I have an another one. After 3'rd Nagorno Karabakh War, Azerbaijan wanted to Zengezur Corridor to herself from Armenia so Nakhchivan and Türkiye could reach into Azerbaijan's mainland and Central Asian Turkic Countries. Armenia accepted this condition but still has not taken any steps on this issue and most likely will not do so in the future.

I dunno about this quiz. It would've been better as a minefield or without the map. Now it's basically just naming countries.

JetPunk doesn't have a minefield mode but it would've been better without the map
@IsabelJones6911 ай бұрын
True. Because you can see which is the larger of the bordering countries with the map and what you haven't guessed yet/what bordering country is left.@@_LBH_
@88porpoise11 ай бұрын
It depends. For some people no map would make a lot more sense as the map makes it pretty easy if you are that familiar with countries. On the other hand, for people less familiar, with the map you are just listing all the countries, but it is forcing you to do it in a different way than usual which is a good challenge and development opportunity.
@deepowls11 ай бұрын
No map *and* no list might have been fun. I mostly tried ignoring it, but I cheated several times on my self-imposed restriction. I like to think I'd still finish in 20 minutes, but I'm not certain because it'd be easy to forget where you left off. No map but with a list would be a little more difficult. The difficulty gap between the map and list-only is much smaller than going from list-only to neither. Even with a map, a minefield version would have been brutal. For example, you'd be 124 guesses until you hit the tricky Turkey-to-Azerbaijan one. I put Georgia first when I tried it. Palestine not being included would have got me at least once. I think my last error was going with Bangladesh before Myanmar. There is little chance I would have tried a minefield version enough times to make that error...though if I was compelled to and I had a map, I'd like to think I was careful enough to not make that mistake.

Does Spain not border the UK via Gibraltar ?
@88porpoise11 ай бұрын
No. Gibraltar is not technically part of the United Kingdom. More broadly, they are not considering dependencies. This is also why Canada doesn't lead to Denmark (and Germany goes to Poland before Denmark). It was also specified in the instructions
@MrQuiz11 ай бұрын
Yeah this is it. Same situation for France and Netherlands too, although that may not have come up anyway.
@deepowls11 ай бұрын
@@MrQuiz, you went to Netherlands via Germany, so Saint Martin wouldn't have mattered. Not counting Greenland for Denmark certainly did matter. I've been playing Travle most days, so I had to remember not to use those rules. Unlike Travle, in this game, you couldn't go Denmark to Sweden or Malaysia to Singapore, but you could go Morocco to Spain and France to Brazil.
