"Dazed and confused" is a stripped down, electrified, down-tempo, blues-rock classic. It's dark, gritty, soulfull and the bassline drives the whole song like a lurking disaster. To add to that, being able to play it does not make you good either. its quite rare to get something you cannot actually play. for example I am a drummer, majority of Tool could be played with 2-3 years of learning drums if you have free time like a student or something. The point is, could you have written / composed something that good? probably not. I am kind of in the middle between Michael and Davie; I think that at the beginning, DaC is pretty simple, but then gets pretty fast in the middle and end.
