When you say ‘a lot of people who started to take TFC from their pension’ do you mean to say you know how many made such a decision as a result of budget speculation and is this looking at your own client base? How many is ‘a lot’? If the comment isn’t based on your clients, has someone actually published a figure, if so who? I suspect that there may have been a slight uptick, due to media speculation about the budget, but I’m not sure anyone knows how many actually proceeded to take their TFC that wouldn’t have done so anyway. Nevertheless it is timely reminder to be aware of the recycling rules. Great message as always!

Anyone dipping into a pension earlier than retirement is an idiot.

That is perhaps slightly harsh as there’re can be legitimate reasons why someone might need to but yes it’s A decision that should but be taken lightly. Damien ❤️

What about those people that retire but subsequently find they need or want to return to work later on?

Mammals don’t retire. The word retirement is an utterly weak descriptor for those seeking comfort and ease, before eternal nothing. Go out on your shield, my Grandad was still working into his 90s through choice. You’re trading in weakness.

Your Grandad sounds inspiring. But most people, given a choice, don’t want to work into their 90s and that doesn’t make them weak. Damien ❤️

Honestly, I don’t want to work now, let alone in my 90s. But, domestic labour will still be work at that point in time.

@@Moneytothemasses It’s not about ‘want’. It’s about being a mammal. You are an evolved monkey that’s trying to cast maths spells to pretend you’re not just building a nest to one day pass away in like ALL Mammals. So go out fighting, surviving, living. Not retired and sedentary - it’s an extremely accurate observation, not a personal criticism.
