Can I quit my job while on long-term disability?

What if my employer gave my position away (even though Human Resource told me my position will be held for 6 weeks or 12 weeks if need be) we are on week 7 and HR told me they gave my position away because they didn't hear from me .. I struggled big time to get my disability started. They just receives my disability packet (6th week). Long story but I AM SO UPSET! on top of everything else, they are using my disability against me.

Quick question ok so if I have a LTD policy that states I am a painter and I get hurt as a painter I have it in my LTD Policy that ,that is my profession . My question is can I got to another profession like forklift driving and still be able to receive my benefits cause only because I did not go back to doing my old profession that it states on my policy
