After 10 plus years in the United States where everything is white, gray, and black, I'm loving this! I think making the wainscoting portion of the wall short, definitely makes the walls look taller.

The orange looks fab in that room. I agree that all the gold frames will set it off nicely. That stunning large mirror in the hallway would look amazing in that room. Maybe look for a cheap display cabinet to display your china and glass wear. Good Luck! Xx 🎉

Blue is opposite orange on the color wheel, and they are complementary colors. I love color and am very excited to see the finished room, it will be so amazing!🥰

Add 1 cup liquid latex in the liquid mix with water. It will make it attach to the wall in a the long run longer as well as won’t crack when adding pictures, shelves etc. doesn’t effect painting it! I love the burnt orange!

That's going to be beautiful!! For the panels on the walls, please get a nail gun! It's much much quicker and easier to basically staple the wood to the walls than it is to try to glue it and then make it stay - wood naturally has a bit of bend to it so it will help with the walls being uneven. You just need the right sort of nails, but that's how I've seen fake panelling done on every interior design show. Good luck!

🫶 absolutely LOVE the orange, but use Larent's advice with the mixer on your drill. It appears the paint is separated, if the mixer isn't available, definitely bounce it from bottom to top, roll it, and stir for a good long time.

Get a wider roller and a pole Cara so you can get longer passes and you won’t get so much overlapping of the paint leaving you with a patchy result. I thought I’d hate the colour but I actually love it and when you’ve done the wainscoting it’ll be magnificent 🎉 Shell I’m excited as we finally have our bathroom and laundry tiled and waiting for cabinetry next month and we’ll finally have a non leaking beautiful small bathroom. Yay

@@EscapetoEverdeen very monochrome white subway wall tiles, Matt black tap ware, timber look plank floor tiles very coastal/ farmhouse/ cottage, easy to change the look with a change of decor. But it will have LOTs of plants. 😂

I wish I could post photos on here because you would be so surprised at how much orange I have in one of my living rooms!! It's mixed with red too, a throw rug, multiple flower arrangements.. I always incorporate 3 colors in my design. So my red leather sofa, with an orange throw, gorgeous sateen throw pillows in gold, orange, red and brown, all plays with the floral pattern hooked rug thats main background color is brown... see where this is going? red, orange, brown, a little brass here and there, a splash of off white ... I know you are going to ROCK this room!!!!

I thought you were crazy to choose that color but it looks fabulous!! 🎉 My only suggestion is to buy a wider paint roller and do long strokes in one direction after painting each section. Your short, choppy strokes in every direction is why the first coat looks mottled and uneven. You may only need two coats if you do it this way. I’ve lived in my home 41 years and as I write this, I just noticed that my off white living room walls are textured like the walls you just smoothed out with plaster and sanding. 🤣

Peacock blue looks beautiful with burnt orange. I would make sure the pictures on the wall weren't the same color as the paint on the wall in the background meaning like a matting being Orange.

Not sure what product they used on the walls. In the UK there was also a fashion for textured walls using a product called artex. I bought a house with a ceiling covered in this. We steamed it and removed it with a scraper. Don't know if it would work.

If it is flat on the floor there is a good chance of mold developing. On another channel in Portugal, they had their bed flat on the floor and when they went to clean under it after a year, the whole bed base and rug was moldy.

The rule is never use blue in a dining room or kitchen, why??, Because there isn't anything that we eat that is blue....blueberries are really purple!!! Now if you want to be anorexic, paint that kitchen and dining room BLUE, bold electric and shocking and don't forget to use those blue plates!!!
