Its pretty much a given that any time you touch an old VWAudi, you are going to have to replace a lot of rubber/plastic gubbins, especially the PCV system.. I'm just replacing all of the same stuff now (waiting for the parts to come in)

Yeah you’re not wrong! And usually you replace one bit, the next bit then fails, so good to do it all in one hit

Do people in the UK do SAI/PCV delete? When working on my partners 1.8T removing all those lines freed up so much space to work on the car and way lesser things to break from the setup. I assume they check those when going for an MOT and would not have ULEZ on some cars?

Can someone tell me what engine temperature should climat show on channel 49 on audi tt mk1 when engine is stone cold?

Stone cold isn’t a value- it will be around ambient temp

@@BWSTT That's what i thought, but mine shows 30 degrees in c49 no engine start, when outside temp is about 10, that's what worries me

@@BWSTT Like i said, that's what worries me, amps on sensor looks normal, 04.3 and 01.9 while outside temp is about 10C. But something is not right, and i got a little coolant leak there, i thought of change gasket only, but now i think it would be wise to change sensor as well.
