Can I Ride the Black Trail Sections at Cannock Chase

The Dog and Monkey trails at Cannock Chase occasionally have the option to take a harder (or more interesting) route. Today I attempt to ride all the black trail sections. I am surprised at what I found.

Nice to see an honest look at tackling something new and those butterflies we all get but that keep us on our toes. Have you tried those sections on the Bizango out of interest? I'm riding one, going to be bumpy for sure.

Yeah the rock s garden in to drop is a comitting one. I am glad I managed to ride them. Looking forward to doing it again!

I get the same nerves about black sections despite having to tackle them in races. Practicing in a no-pressure environment is best. Good to see the perspective from the bottom, gives a different angle to the rock gardens.

Sometimes it's best to just let the bike roll through without brakes, the momentum will carry you through.

I did all the black trails on my trek marlin 8 hardtail and let me tell you, i nearly died many times!!

Definitly. Nothing too difficult. I recommend starting on the blue Perry’s trail.
