Before heading home from the PTO Collins Cup we had a bit of a wait in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava. So Mark being Mark decided to make the most of it and see if he could see the whole of the city in less than 2 hours?

I and my friend did the Bhutan city tours like this, later I did a Euro trip in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, I visit a local website see the sites, and run through them. Lots of fun doing it

Looks really good. I moved with work to be based in Prague and visit Bratislava frequently - might copy your route. Now that all the official marathons and half marathons are postponed I’m running across all the bridges in Prague next weekend. 15 bridges, 34km, a wonderful way to see all the city and get some exercise!

you guys need to do the The Niesen Railway. "The steps that run alongside the Niesen mountain railway in Switzerland are officially the longest stairway in the world. There are 11,674 steps in all, and it's only possible to hike them one day a year during the Niesen Run. It's only a two-mile run but there's 5,475 feet of altitude to climb!"

Oooo you didnt go up the UFO??? man.... i was there at night in winter! You were there in summer-ish weather during the day... man, in your place i would have stayed up on top of the ufo and not taken the flight home. Well, who knows, maybe it s closed or something due to covid.

Few weeks ago my friends ask me if I was interested in going up a little mountain (just for the view and their awkward snaps). First I said NO, Then yeah I'm just gonna run up there 😅 Poor us and our twisted minds.

During you next visit in Slovakia you have to take on trail path "The route of heroes of the Slovak national uprising" (Cesta hrdinov Slovenského narodneho povstania). Just reserve a bit more time for it. :-)

I did that route up to slavin in thick snow. And i was standing 5 meters away from the monument and could NOT see it at all due to the thickest snow fall i have ever witnessed. Sad.

Slavín is a pretty big climb, and there are a few "fun" segments on strava, the last set of stairs is the 30% one I think...I walked up there so many times now, but cant imagine running it...so much respect for Mark 😂
