Hi everyone, here’s my first comprehensive travel video on Slovakia. I was frankly surprised how much there is to do and see in Bratislava. It’s an amazing and beautiful city and definitely worth a visit if you get a chance. Hope you enjoy this week’s city travel guide and wish you a great week 👍🌺

I found out that not only they have Euro currency, but they produce 1,000,000 cars per year !!! Looks like they really have a market economy.

@@valentinchiriac9117 Unfortunately, car manufacturers in Slovakia are French, German, Korean, Indian and therefore only a minimum of money goes into the Slovak economy.

This is the most beautiful and very detailed travel video about Bratislava I've ever seen. It's a long video but we got many useful infos and tipps! Very enjoyable to watch so many beautiful places there:) Sadly I've never been to Slovakia. I think, Slovakia is often overlooked by many people and travel vloggers who travel around Europe. Thanks Janus for always inspiring us with NEW travel destination and many useful, helpful tipps! See you in the next premiere of Slovakia videos 😊 Ah btw, is it easy to find affordable accommodation there?
@januslog2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Dina, this one took me a while to put together 😅 Yes, there are quite some options for accommodation and Bratislava is definitely more affordable to stay at than for example neighboring Vienna. I hope you get a chance to visit someday 👍

If you are short on time and want to explore three countries, you can follow the triangle Vienna-Bratislava-Brno. That way, you will see three important cultural centers of three Central European countries that used to be at the center of the former Austro-Hungarian empire. Everything is easily reached by frequently available trains and the travel times between the cities is around one hour.

Marvelous video like usually. So beautiful. Much effort put into it! ....... The idea crossed my mind, if you like: you can make another chanell called “ Travel highlights” in which you would put about 6 min of the most atractive views, without comentary, and saying at the begining or end, how there is a link to full video down in the description. In such way you habe two chanels out of the same effort , and that can capture viewers from one to another. ..... Happy New Year and a lot of travel .

Don't really know if the temperature range during summer still stands. Frankly, the summer in Slovakia can get pretty hot. The temperature can go as high as 38. There are weeks when the temperature doesn't go under 33-35 during day and streets can get pretty hot.

@@januslog I remember this year we had 25 during night for like a week straight, it was pretty brutal. But then again it depends where you are. In central and north parts you certainly won't have such temperatures but still above 30 for sure. The weather here has changed so much during past 20 years.

Very nice video about Bratislava Slovakia (also Czechia) is geographically Central Europe, the eastern Europe is only Ukraine, the neighbouring country of Slovakia. Slovakia, then still Czechoslovakia, was part of the Eastern Bloc of the Soviet Union after World War II, along with the Polish Baltic States, the Balkans and half of Germany, including half of Berlin. Slovakia was never eastern Europe if at most part of the Eastern Bloc of the USSR but still geographically it was and is central Europe. Bridge SNP is in the category of suspension bridges with one suspension pylon and one suspension plane he is awarded 1st place BUT during the construction of the SNP bridge, part of the Old Town was destroyed. For example, Rybné Square, the sub-castle and the Jewish quarter fell victim. A synagogue and a bourgeois brewery were also destroyed I recommend that when you are at Devín castle, next to the castle there is Gate of Freedom (Memorial to the victims of totalitarianism) and a short walk to the Sandberg. he view from the top of the Sandberg offers beautiful panorama on the landscape around Bratislava. If you look to the south, you can clearly see Devín Castle and Braunsberg and further in the background the Hainburg Mountains. PLUS recommend downloading the IDS Bk APP, where you can buy all types of tickets for public transport or in public transport (bus trolleybus) you can also buy a ticket with a credit card. My advice is "do not go to this place", the taxi drivers will scam tourists every chance they get, especially at the airport, by law, taxi drivers do not even to have a taxi meter in their vehicle. The bus drivers have the manners of an ape and the default attitude in most of the shops is "couldn't care less". Never mind the trendy music on this promo, avoid.
@januslog2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Patrick . Experiences are always very subjective and luckily I did not encounter these issues when I was there. I do want to clarify that there are no “promo” videos on my channel. Nobody pays me for any of the videos and all opinions stated reflect purely my own subjective views. Happy travels
