I just had a similar cable soldering experience last week, I just bought new cables because I didn’t need them instantly. Unfortunately I live where 2, 3 or even 4 day shipping isn’t available.

its not worth the effort or risk to make your own cables when you can buy them cheap in diff colors so easily

I dont why they wasted hours soldering cables when they can just buy short cables or re use the one they had, plus as you said pedalboards are cheap , aluminum is light, plus a jazz guy doesnt need all those pedals. Rotems videos are a lot of talk but very low on educational offering imo. When would he use a pog in a jazz context ? Rotem reminds me of that guy who pretends to learn a song in 60seconds, they both ramble and flex but dont really say or teach anything
