Use Sil-Poly in the same way you used the glue. Then wait 2 days to dry. One dry mix a small batch of rubber silicone and pour a very thin level surface on the bottom. It will be good as new

Will the Sil-Poly work on what looks like gouges in my molds? It's on the side, and the rop is still attached. Where di you buy this at?
@jeaniebrown81197 сағат бұрын
It turned out lovely. I agree with the person who suggested the Sil-Poly. That's about the only way to fix the mold.

I have used Smooth-On SIL-poxy Rubber Silicone Adhesive - 0.5 oz Tube Silpoxy to repair molds in the past. I purchased it on Amazon US.

They are so beautiful. I am hoping that the seller will see your upload and send a replacement. A high quality mould should never split in such a way. I'm sorry that happened to such an expensive mould, I'd be gutted. Really hope to see a positive update soon x❤

Gorgeous blooms!! Silicone sticks to silicone, so I would suggest trying to mend your mold with silicone rather than with glue.

Beautiful, would look great hanging also. I am definitely watching and learning, thank you so much. That's a real shame the mould split, I'm thinking bathroom silicone might work with a little amount of white spirit added for a smooth thin careful application, tiny amount is all you need, you may get rid of the line. Still lovely work 😺💖

Thank you so much Alison that's a lovely tip never thought of using the bathroom silicone will definitely try now. ❤️❤️❤️

As others have said, you can use a thin layer of silicon to seal the crack, but you will need to remove ALL of the glue that you got on there. You can use any silicon that is 100% silicon and it will be as good as new once it has fully dried. I have even used 100% silicon calking in the past (from the hardware store). You can also use a thinner to make the silicon more watery for applying. Beautiful flowers as always :)
@teaandart3 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much I actually made a project with calking using thinner but never thought to use as a glue for my mold I am definitely going to try this now. ❤️

Suggestion on possible mending: put some silicone down on a tray (thin layer), set this mold on top, open up the ripped area a little to allow some of the new silicone in the gap, put it back together. After it cures, put a very thin layer of silicone inside the mold that is ripped. I like the design of this mold.
@teaandart3 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much I poured the silicone on top and after curing it came off but now I will try the way you said hopefully it will work ❤️😊

So beautiful 😍 I am fix my broken mold: tape crack front side really well, then i use liquid silicon back side, carefully push little silicon in the crack and i tape round of mold it stay best shape and do higher side. Then I use rest of liquid silicon all ower back side 😊 (i hope you understand what i mean, this language is hard sometimes) 🌹
@kaitlyn88831 минут бұрын
You could always try using silicone as silicone does stick to silicone make a batch up apply it to the inside of the crack and then seal it. Hold it close and let it cure. Maybe that might work. Fingers crossed.
@dianabustle20654 сағат бұрын
You can save it by pouring a light coat of silicone on it and leave it lay flat, but you can’t save it not a thick layer of silicone a very liked maybe tape it underneath first to pull it back together and then pour it then layer of silicone on it and then turn it over and do the same on the back
@teaandart4 сағат бұрын
Thank you so much for the lovely suggestion I did tried the silicone one but sadly that silicone also removes it self from the original coaster.

I found a secret using silly putty. It works by itself like a silicone mold. Resin cures beautifully in the “molded” pieces that I have tried. The secret that makes it work well to fix your mold to reworking conditions is that silly putty almost melts with anything silicone. So you just can’t use basically anything silicone when using it. But it can be shaped and flattened out like a dream and best if all it prevents leaks. I don’t know how the long term use is, but for the price and amount needed I think it’s worth every dollar. Hope this works for you if you try.

Wow that looks like a good quality mold curious as to why that happened. I’m more curious to see if you can fix it. Wonder if more silicone would work.

Also, you can heal that mold by putting a thin, very thin coat on it and letting it cure

Hi this is this the shop but at the moment they are having a break www.etsy.com/uk/shop/PaintaliciousByKawal

If you have only used that mould once then you should send it back. Any supplier worth their salt would happily replace it for you. I haven't watched the entire video yet so I don't know if you had any success gluing it but I highly doubt that it will last. If you cannot return it for replacement then I would add a silicone base to make it solid again.
@budgetmerch11 сағат бұрын
I didn't think that would work because really, only silicone will stick to silicone and be permanent. I would tip the mould upside down and tape all the way around the shape but have the tape a quarter inch above the mould. Then pour silicone over it and allow it to cure. I think that will give you the best result. You could scratch up the bottom so that the silicone gets into the scratches and that will be a good key for it. If possible, though, I would contact the company. If you used it once and you have looked after it then I seriously doubt that the company wouldn't want to help you. Good luck.

Thank you so much for the lovely tips I used it once but had this mold for a year now so not sure If they will replace it. I have tried the silicone method but the cured silicone layers some off easily. But you gave a lovely suggestion of scratching the surface that might help will give it another try. Once again thank you so much ❤️
