The death-and crime waves seem pretty frustrating as I remember we were told there'd be no need to spam service buildings all around a city in CS2 whereas it seems that's what has to be done anyway to make the city work

I mean, ~50k People on that Island and 3 or 4 crematoriums isn't that bad at all, is it? Wouldn't call that spamming, especially as Biffa surely overdid it a bit for the future. The traffic also didnt really help getting the services to their desired places.

Hey Biffa, gotta say I wasn't expecting a rundown on your youtube history, but 13 years is impressive. I'm a brand new creator for Cities Skylines 1 and 2 for now, and honestly, 2 is making it tricky to stay motivated. I guess you could say I'm doing what you did 13 years ago and just doing videos for fun....er, more or less. em, Biffa. the largest stadium in the UK is Twickenham and it can only fit 82K people. Don't know if you go to rugby games, but if you want to know how it would feel like to stand in front of 150k people imagine that, but double.

39:54 pretty sure the high rent symbol only disappeared because no one lives there anymore. I only realised with my large city recently by hovering over all my low density residential, that half of them were empty. When on the zoning tool, you can see the roads are red which means bad suitability and no one will live there, meaning you have to increase the zoning density. This is really annoying as now my city has literally 0 low density residential. 🙃

Hi Biffa, I've been watching your videos for a few years now, probably i'm the only viewer from Brazil hahaha. Since you're open to game suggestions to the channel, i would like to recommend Oxygen Not Included. This is a game from Klei (Don't Staver Togheter is also a must) and you need to micromanage your resourses and duplicants until you build a rocket to get out of your asteroid. It's very very fun. I suggest making districts that we allocate schools and city services separately to each district. This cuts down on travel and efficiency of the services. It might help with Job repopulating schools as well.

Seriously, the Dev menu has so many cool things, it's a real shame they didn't implement them in the main game (without having to use the command) Something like Advanced Parking or so that gives access to the objects you need for a customized parking and what not...

During these 13 years I'm sure you helped people in many ways and some you never imagined when you started. I discovered your channel 2 years ago when I was suffering from depression and anxiety attacks and I needed to watch chill/positive videos at night to be able to sleep. It's a bit weird to say but your videos are soothing in a way I can't really explain 😅😅 Now I'm ok and I watch your channel just because I enjoy it, but I will be always grateful for the time when I needed the help.

Even if you don't tax your residential zones, citizens still have trouble paying rent bescause it's someting that's defined by the land's value. And land's value is defined by service availability and parks. Some of the ways to fix high rent issue is to add welfare offices, make a low residential zones far from services, or lower the quality of life by removing parks.

@5:48 you mentioned you wished the camera would follow in a set position... It will if you follow, then switch to the photo (camera) app in game. I believe it still shows the app in the corner, unsure if you can make it go away with hiding UI. Worth a look maybe. 13 years is a long time! I remember when Biffa would have to send his videos to us in the mail, b4 the internet was invented...lol.
