The single best improvement to road and rail building imo would be a "keep level" option. Sometimes you want the road or rail to define the landscape, not follow it.

If u really like car centric city planning sometimes traffic can get out of hand even with roundabouts and faster taffic lights, sometimes the best thing is flyovers, slip roads or ramps that can be very good for very busy ring roads but then that won’t fix everything so public transport and pedestrian areas will encourage ppl to walk to places in ur city centres

I've noticed that the parking lots generate more traffic than the minor income they provide. I've actually gone around to my cities and deleted them all and traffic immediately improved significantly. Could be a bug, but for now, I go without.
@Red-Tower11 ай бұрын
I've noticed that, and actually tried to actively take advantage of that/work around it. I can redirect traffic with them if I want to, or attract folks to other parts of the city. Another thing I've been doing is making one-way offshoot roads to put the parking lots on, so the traffic flow can move smoothly into and out of the parking zone.

It might be worth it to consider some hydroelectric powerplants going across those small rivers that the bridges span. If the correct height was used and a spillway was built that could be a MASSIVE power increase...and I would love to see that design and building process of a small scale project like that in Kettlebridge!🤗👍

The different sections are very detached, and deserve their own names... they'll no doubt grow and merge in time, but for now, they're clearly separate towns. For the name of the new area, I think naming it after the plant tea comes from (Camellia sinensis) could be quite nice if you wanna keep the tea theme up. Camellia sounds quite natural as a place name. Alternatively, as a native of the South Downs, if you want a name that complements Tealand Downs, I'd also suggest maybe riffing on Beachy Head with something silly like Leafy Head - it'd fit the geography. And then if you wanna go with something a bit goofier, you could try Brewhaven or Cuppaford (more South Downs references). Maybe stick "Delta" on the end of one of them to at least make it fitting with the geography of the shoreline and spiff up the sound of the name a bit.

Love it, love it, love it! 2 suggestions: 1) I just got back from Japan and tried a new tea (to me) there called “Hōjicha”, which is roasted green tea. Had a phenomenal flavor! My suggestion for the name would be Hōjicha-machi, which means “Hojichaville” basically. 2) Build some more highways sometimes. Don’t completely sacrifice public transport and walkability for this (that’s the mistakes the Americans have made when building their cities 70 years ago), but do take a book from Houston’s book on interchanges and highways. We have a city the size of Wales, yet somehow using our many interstate highways it takes MAXIMUM an hour (no more) to get around town. That could probably alleviate a lot of traffic. There’s also tons of parking spaces built all over the place, most of which (unless you go downtown) are free.
