And now there's the Sky Islands mod for CDDA. It came out recently and it changes the game play to something that's raid based like Escape from Tarkov. You start out on an island up in the Sky safe from all monsters and the only way to go back down is to go on Expeditions The objective is simple, reach the Destination within the time limit and you get to keep everything on you If you die, you lose everything you have on you and spawn back on your island like the day you were born Complete optional objectives during the expedition to earn some tokens that you can use to make equipment to make collecting materials easier

What I love the most about roguelikes and more specifically CDDA, is that as you play and learn you start to understand not just mechanics of the game but the different enemies and creatures and how they interact with each other. It serves a roleplay purpose of how brave/ingenious/experienced your character is.

Sadly not, since bio ops are just regular spec ops with NV and faulty electronics now, rather then low level cyborgs. Unless this game version is old, i guess.
