Anyways, fun little video. Hope for more. Just learn some caution. Be cautious to not leave the stove on, be cautious around potential fence lunges or ankle biters, just generally be more cautious, and you will find yourself surviving a bit longer... Also, save your energy. You can easily *walk* as fast as, if not faster, than them. Wasting your energy sprinting when you didn't need to is what killed you on that earlier run.

If you just stopped swinging your axe at the other zombie, and instead turned around, and walked a few tiles back, you wouldn't have died there. The most important skill in Zomboid isn't carpentry, or fitness, or knowledge on how to fight zombies... It's caution. Because while normally, overconfidence is a slow, and insidious killer... In the apocalypse, it will end your life before you even have time to think. But, no, seriously- Replay that clip, and try to pretend that you didn't have plenty of time to react to that. I like to avoid saying the term, but unironically, skill issue.

Though, to be fair, you probably would have lost more than two first attempts if you had deaf, and not being able to read things like the generator or foraging magazine to be able to use gens or actually tell if a berry or mushroom you find is safe to eat- Would just completely suck. Plus just how slow the xp grind would be without being able to read things like carpentry books. Still, just know, 'Dead meat Dave' could have been 'even dead-er meat Dave' :P

@@RamzyTheDad hmm my guess would be, slow reading is higher up the list of negative traits, and I just clicked on them all from top to bottom, that would negate the illiterate trait. The same way taking underweight means you can’t take overweight!
