Can I train with lower back pain, disc bulges or herniated disk?
The short answer is yes, and in this video I answer your questioned regarding lower back pain and training.

Hiii bob, I subscribed. I have lumbar L4L5 disc buldge which was diagnosed in 2019 and recently diagnosed cervical spondylitis. Right now I m following a 12 week muscle building program and I don’t have any back pain. I want to consult with you regarding my cervical and lumbar problem and how to do the exercises properly. L4-5 disc desiccation and broad based, central & B/L Paramedian disc protrusion / extrusion with larger central component indenting the anterior thecal sac and causing B/L L4 - 5 lateral recess / subfacetal space stenosis. What do you suggest????

Injection helps with pain and reduction of your symptoms. It doesn’t do anything on the disc 😃 are you doing any rehab ? Bob

2 of 2 surgeon have already suggested pin hole surgery. I've been diogonised with disc bulge prolapse. Is surgery the only option, I'm worried and mentally not ok with a surgery. Please advise.

Hi Bob , I am Shweta from India, I am 45 yrs old Since 3 months I am suffering from Degenerative changes of Lumbar spine. Diffuse disc bulge at L4-5-S1 level effacing the anterior thecal sac and causing mild compromise of bilateral sub articular recess (more on left side). Mild Central canal Stenosis. I have taken a lot of pain killers and also attended 15 days of physiotherapy sessions. But the pain remains the same Than I started following the exercises you instructed in your videos. In 3-4 days I have seen a little improvement in pain But I need a help from you. What kind of exercise should I follow ? And also is any operation needed as doctors suggested if there is no improvement in a month? Can this problem will be solved with exercises? Pls help me out . Thanks 😊 .

Extension won’t make it worse, it might make your back tired and sore !! If you have never tried it before ?

You can definitely try motor cross, however if you find it bothering your back. You must modify the hours and the frequency of doing it 👍 Bob

Sir can you please suggest exercises.... Mild posterior bulges of L4/L5 and L5/S1 discs with ligamentum flavum thickening mildly indenting bilateral neural foramen. No significant neural compression seen at present. This is my MRI scan.After my third delivery I had difficulty to walk. Now baby is 6 months old. I feel better new. This is my MRI scan impression.... I'm a teacher.

@@bobthephysio I have no particular diet right now and I stop doing the usual routine that my therapist gave me. I'm already immune to the pain in my back and I feel like I am normal again but still my posture says that I have it still. Right now I do cycling and I love cycling I just want to get rid of my fatty belly. Besides the diet what type of exercise should I do? I see many on youtube but I'm worried that I might get a negative impact.

It’s called reverse pull over 👍 it helps you to engage your hip - (posterior tilt) while bringing your hands over head - regain coordination on lumbar spine 😃
