Hi, I got my I-485 for Employment base Eb2 category. Can we travel without advanced parole?? I gave h1b visa. but if I go abroad, I need to go for visa stamping. Will going abroad is recommend in anyways while I-485 is pending??

Wouldn't the OPT holder who left and abandoned his AOS, upon reentry be barred from entry? If the CBP officer allowed him in inadvertently, and he eventually received the GC, there's no repercussion from that error?

You can travel within the United state as long as you have a valid ID. But be careful traveling somewhere there’s immigration check point such as Laredo, Corpus Christi and many others.

Hi Jacob, Very good information but i have a question about my situation. I have a Combo card on hand (EAD & AP), i came here on B1/B2 as Canadian with waiver I-192, overstayed until i get Combo card. Also i overstayed in the past (5 Years from 2007 to 2012), small arrest as misdemeanor ( 12 years ago, expunged my case). In this situation, Is it safe to return after visiting my home country for a short trip? (a month maybe). Will i get any problem with CBP officer while port of entry?

Hi, I have I485 pending. I traveled with an AP that is expired but had stamp from BCP from my January trip that says “Paroled till Dec 29 2024 AD/AOS”. I assumed my AP was not expired because of that stamp so I traveled with it in July. When I came back to the US BCP told me that I will be allowed in the US under B2 visa as Canadian. Will this impact my pending I485 application which is about to be approved.

Very interesting video ! If you are applying for a I-485 and have a visa E2 employee... It's not an H1b or A visa but also has no sponsor and you can leave/enter the US whenever with it. Would having a I-485 pending ( without parole yet ) prevent you from using that visa to come back? Basically, does the E2 employee visa would work like an H1b or not ? :) warm regards Jacob

Application will be denied under “abandonment of application “ I without a doubt suggest you get the advanced parole. Speaking from experience.

Hello, Jacob. Love your content! I have a special case… I originally entered as spouse of E2 and later changed to L1. (Thought it was a good idea at the time because I was still waiting on EAD on E2). I left the sponsoring company of L1 and applied for AOS back to E2. I travelled out of the US and upon my return had to go though immigration interview where I was admitted under E2 I-193 Fee Waiver. (original cancelled without prejudice due to L1). My application for AOS was denied due to abandonment of application. How does this my ability to travel? Is the Advance Parole required? And how does this impact working (original EAD is expired)? Does the EAD need to be renewed or that is not the case with the recent change in immigration laws? A mouthful, but you or one of the most knowledgeable people on this topic. Appreciate any insight.

They already send me my employment authorization renewal because the first one got expired but they didn't renew my advance parole which got expired on 09/24/2021. if i want to renew my advance parole I-131 do i have to pay any fees for doing the renovation if my I-485 is still pending?

I know through your videos (which are quite informative) that i do not require to apply for AP to travel outside US while in AOS and have L1 stamp on my passport. But if I do decide to apply for AP and use my L1 status to return back to US, would it affect my AP "application" which i had applied with I-485 bundle (with i-765 & i-131)?
