Yo brother, I tried 6 grams last night after 60 plus days clean to answer this question. Had a productive day, got a lot done and wanted to relax. Kratom for me was a better option than having a drink or two. Honestly? Wasn’t worth it. Especially after waking up with my sleep being off. I’ve started to appreciate the clear, productive head and the quality sleep. So…you’re not missing anything. I’m staying off it for an indefinite period of time. Edit: the crazy thing is after waking up feeling foggy, I’ve caught myself thinking maybe I should get some kratom to get through the day. So, it can plant seeds in your head.

Why weren’t you using other drugs, idk I do a teaspoon at 4am before work, another teaspoon during my break at 9:30am before I lift, then when I finish work I then do kava and weed in the evening around 5:30pm-6pm until a pass out around 8pm lol. Now if you only do kratom then 100% but oh it’s wack to make your only thing kratom lololol, now every once and awhile, I will be extremely feeling and vibing with kratom, on real stressful work days I’ll use 10-20mg but that’s literally like once every couple months. I just don’t understand regardless of what other drugs you be doing why aren’t you always kinda smoking weed on top of that
@StrongKeithJ7 ай бұрын
I had my share of other drugs as a young man. Smoked tons of weed. Coke, alcohol, meth, etc. plenty of drugs. I can’t agree more. Making kratom your only thing is wack! Kind of makes you think, why am I taking kratom at all??? Drugs in general are wack. It takes some people longer to realize that.
@StrongKeithJ7 ай бұрын
Weed is very played out. As less harmful as it is, there is a reason why we’re looking to get high. That’s the question you want to ask yourself. I thought I just wanted to feel good all the time. Then I realized, I must not feel good when I’m sober. Why though? Once I quit kratom, I just went and applied myself more in my life, and I don’t need to use anything. I’m solid on my own. That’s what we want to strive for, being a solid man without using.

This is something I have tested over time. After I’ve abstained from using for long periods. It’s always been a bad idea in my experience. Even though I do have the self-control to put it back down, even from just one use, I see how it changes me and ultimately makes things much harder for days to weeks, after using just that one time. And that one tjme could be years apart from having any at all. It’s not been worth it in my experience at all. Even though for me personally it didn’t send me into full addiction, it just does something that throws everything off. It’s best in my opinion to just not go down that road. So I think you have the right mentality to just stay the course bro 🤜 My experience anyhow. I feel the same way about exercise/working out too. The only issue with me is I have legit pain issues that hold me back which is how i wound up on kratom in the first place all the years back. But yeah, I still force myself even with pretty severe pain to exercise as much as I can. It’s tough man. But yeah that part is so important, and you know it. I always feel you are on the right track with your videos and i want to support people who are doing this right. Also, it bummed me out when I saw the promo of kratom on Rogan and it’s just obvious to me for most people that is gonna be a bad road ahead.
@YourMomsBestBoyfriend9 ай бұрын
I can also say, the times I went back, I was aware of how I didn’t want it to feel that good and I couldn’t really allow myself to enjoy it as much because my mentality is like no can’t be doing this and can’t enjoy it because I’ll just want to go back. So it’s like I’m just so done with it, and my brain won’t even allow it. And then even that still will kind of draw me back to thinking of wanting it more but I stuck to not doing it because I just already knew what was happening even from that one time and knew I didn’t want to go back to that because of how terrible it gets being stuck in that. So yea that’s some insight into my thought process there.
@YourMomsBestBoyfriend9 ай бұрын
But yeah I would say for most people it’s not even worth experimenting again because you might just fall right back into it. I had to take a lot of energy mentally and be very strong to not go back from just the one time experiments I had often years apart from each other. I was addicted pretty badly prior to that, first time was like decades ago. And wow, I did not know Tom segura was taking it. That makes a lot of sense, because he was on heavy painkillers for a while for his injury. I could tell something was going to happen there. I think it’s likely he’s still got an addiction going with the kratom just transferred from his prescription opioids. Maybe not, but it’s certainly possible. To me it’s like ehh, at some point I don’t know if that’s going to work out. Doesn’t give me a good feeling.
@StrongKeithJ9 ай бұрын
I completely get the thought process. WOW, I didn’t know kratom was in the states decades ago. I discovered it in 2017. Thank you very much for the support. That means a lot. I try to think of my sobriety and really the rest of my life, in the best way to stay solid. A solid man. And it all starts in my head. The way I think about things.

@StrongKeithJ3 ай бұрын
That’s awesome that you were able to quit while working there. And unfortunately will power is what most addicts lack. It definitely takes a lot of will power to make the decision to never use something again. If something has been negative in my life, I’m cutting it out. Not dabbling again.

@StrongKeithJ8 ай бұрын
You definitely have to figure it out. I think the real question is, Why do I feel the need to use something? Or, why do I want to get high? If we start exploring that question, it might take us to places we didn’t want to go or face. But are necessary to go to. Once we make the decision to not only quit using, but to change our identity to Someone That Doesn’t Use, it actually becomes much easier to not use. If that makes any sense. And I would wake up a couple times during the night. That was the longest lasting symptom. But after about 3-4 months I noticed I was sleeping about 7 hours. Then one night I slept 8 full hours! It will take time, and just enjoy the sleep you can get. Embrace the time you’re awake. Just know that it gets better every week. You will see progress. @StrongKeithJ8 ай бұрын
Sorry to throw so much at you. I know you’re still very early on in this. But my only advice with insomnia would be stay away from caffeine, and stay away from any medication. As best as you can. The caffeine will keep you up at night. I drank like 3 monsters a day, and slept like a baby when I was on kratom. Then when I quit I became hypersensitive. Also, any medication or sleeping pills will mess with your natural sleeping rhythm. You might sleep good the night you take them, but the next night will be intense insomnia. Zero medication is the way. Eat healthy, stay hydrated, take vitamins, and get to the gym ASAP!
