Years ago when the first foamies came out I covered all of them with monokote. Generally it goes on so fast that building up enough heat wasn’t an issue. Use a pin to let out the trapped air on the bubbles. A quick pass with the iron will smooth it out. I don’t use it anymore. I prefer to Polycrylic my airplanes.

Yes it works! I've even covered foam board with it before!

I'm new & never used monokote before. Can one cover the cone shape nose of a 737-400? How does one cover curves? Need to make many small relief cuts. If so will you see all those smaller cuts/ seams where they meet?
