Why not drive across town and see Bowman Gray Stadium where Wake Forest played their home football games when they moved to Winston Salem from Wake Forest NC. Bowman Gray is probably more famous for the quarter mile weekly (summer) NASCAR track that encircles the football field. Bowman Gray was featured on the famous cable tv program and billed as "The Madhouse. It's where Richard Petty won his 100th race. Great to have you in town GFed!!!

Wake forest is also a division one college with more of a rich history at allegacy than they do at bowman gray. Also they simply don’t play there anymore.

The coliseum was owned by the city of Winston-Salem until 2013. That's why the seats are that color.....but they should go all black when time comes to replace

Wake Forest probably has to be the luckiest school to be in a power conference for so long. From the transition from the SoCon to the ACC despite so many other SoCon schools who are their size that didn't get the chance to play at that level. Guess Tobacco Road was their entitlement to be there despite them literally picking up and moving across the state away from Tobacco Road and their first home which was called Wake Forest just north of Raleigh.

The city use own those stadiums and the arena. that's why the fairgrounds is there the arena was sold to university in 2013 and the baseball stadium was sold to wake forest after the new stadium open downtown
