commented here 13 days ago that NCAA titles & records are possible. & now the 3,000m record was taken down by Abdalla, who did 100% of the work from the rabbit peeling off till he was overtaken by a couple of guys who got near the top of the usa all time chart indoors/outdoors. How long does it take for mileage to have an effect and how much does it actually effect? Cause if I go from 20-30ish mpw last track and this xc season running 4:19 and 15:30, if I hit 60mpw over the winter would that help me a bunch or would it not matter until next xc season?

probably around 4-8 weeks for some effects but it will continue to affect you positively for years down the road. Mileage is always worth it unless you're less than 2 weeks from the race you care about.
