I find that Mining - smithery is generally the better play with xin-xi - getting the forges up really makes it easy to giant. It’s interesting to see that you don’t. Great video though!

I don’t know why people overlook that technology, it’s very good for giants and a strong unit with 15 hp

Xin xi does feel underrated. If you survive the early game, you're guaranteed fast giant and with a good spawn 2 fast giants

It's a hard balance between getting many units and strong units in that case, giants can be strong, but are very expensive to get, I might dedicate a video to the balancing principle and what to spend stars on....

I have had quite a bit of success with Xin lately. I find by t12 or so they can have more giants than pretty much any other tribe.

They are better with less water: five stars for a unit that does to a warrior in a boat is not too appealing

I don't think either of those tribes are OP currently. In fact, Cymanti might be the weakest tribe in the game on continents and more watery maps since they can't use naval units. Elyrion is pretty good on continents, but certainly not OP
