fun fact : gta v first mission all ways give more fps at first i played with 4000 hd graphics and i got 45 to 50 but after i finished it and got to frankline mission i was getting 15 to 20 fps

Hey I just wanted to say, I'm shocked at how little views you have on this. You got a great energy and your editing is WAY above what I was expecting from such a small channel. My only complaint is that it was a bit confusing to read the graphs and instead it might be better to just split it into two/three resolutions and have all 4 bars on each so that it could be a more overall comparison. Other than that, this was a genuinely good watch; keep it up!

I was running a i5-4440 8Gb ram (2x4)...until a couple of years ago...I built it in 2013...and it wasn't top of the line then.....I upgraded to an RX550 4GB and added 8 more GB's of ram for (4 x 4) This is my setup now...I stopped gaming online years ago..but still played off line...And have since pretty much stopped playing games altogether...I tend to just watch YT....The last game I played was the STALKER series....Plenty of mods to keep the game going since completing the originals...But certains things in life happened and I just...stopped....I run Win 7..And the pc does pretty much what i need it to do..Just wish my internet speed was faster..as it does tend to lag when playing a few videos at the same time (live cams)...Would like a faster pc..but whether it would make any real difference to how I use it..I doubt it...I may remove the RX550 as I don't game...to reduce power usage...It's not alot by modern standards...not having to be externally powered...But every watt will help reduce consumption and save money.

I'm still rocking an i7-2600 with Intel HD Graphics 3000. It's doing the job (just about) but I'll be upgrading to a GTX 1650 very soon. The i7 won't be bottlenecked by it.

I’m still gaming using an Intel core i7 3820 with 32GB of RAM in quad channel with an nvidia GTX 980. I don’t think it would quite be fair to compare this CPU to the one in the video as this one has no integrated graphics, and was a CPU that was part of the enthusiast tier (Sandy bridge-E) I wish Intel would still do their enthusiast tier of CPUs for the current generation. Those CPUs definitely last a LONG time, before you need to upgrade. Imagine what a 4090 would be like with good quad channel DDR5 RAM now.

Yeah, it's a shame there is no enthusiast tier hardware anymore. The closest you can get today are the unlocked K/KF processors. Technically, if you don't mind the lower clocks, you could use xeon processors, although they are very expensive new :(

Have the I5 4690k, oc to 4.70ghz all cores. On a msi mobo. With 32gb ddr3, 1600mhz. And a Intel Arc 750 frostbite 8gb gpu, And it runs so f.cking good on 1440.

I have a 10 year system with a i5 4590 with this little iGPU inside, i have 32GB in all 4 slots and a 2TB SSD so think i take as much advantage of it as possible in that department. Sometimes it surprises me because i expect little and sometimes it disappoints me. I am thinking of maybe getting an i7 4770 or 4770K from ebay for a little upgrade(can't do much more without needing new motherboard). But since i have a good amount of memory i wonder if you know how much memory i can give it and if there is a way to give the iGPU as much as possible. Right now my motherboard has it on Auto which i assume is basically giving it memory based on tasks.

Well, this iGPU can only support up to 2 gigabytes of memory, you can't make the limit go higher. I don't know what prices you have for components, but here, the i7 4770 is still somewhat expensive (80-120€) and its way more worth it to invest into a 1st/2nd gen ryzen system, which costs around the same. So, I would save up for a ryzen based system, since they are way more worth it for the money and include a way faster iGPU.

If you want upgrade, the GPU is the only thing that will make a relevant difference. A dirt cheap RX 470 is night and day difference. Or RX 580 and you can play anything. So simple.

Consider purchasing an Intel Xeon E3 1246 v3 if it's cheaper than the i7 because they're basically the same thing but Xeons are usually cheaper.. There's no point in getting an i7-4770k unless your motherboard features overclocking support. If it does and you've got good cooling, the 5 - 10% performance boost may be worth it.

my old pc has i5-4690 on z97 mobo, the discrete gpu died, so now i'm running batocera, even some ps3 games are working but mostly igpu tops at ps2 games in native res scaling. i tried to oc ram to 2133mhz but i kinda got scared so i reset it to stock, i wish amd or nvidia released some new budget gpus for those old pc, 'cuz haswell is still pretty good for casual gaming.

Hey, how do force install win 11 into that old machine? Did it runs well?

I made a special USB drive installer, which allows to have multiple ISOs present. It also allows to install windows 11 without TPM and other checks. You don't need this special tool for it to work, since it's just cmd commands, but it makes it way easier. As for how well it runs, it's pretty good. The performance is pretty much equal to windows 10. Just don't have too many apps open at boot, it becomes really unresponsive, even on a ssd.

@@TrusteftTech I am supprised that 15.40.7.64.4279 is the newest version. they only made 2 years of driver updates? For 3rd gen graphics the latest was in 2020. Intel really sucks when it comes to this, their website is so disorganized, and you have to rely on google to find a forum entry to link you to the latest driver...
