Honestly, I think both are great. A warning though, itgirl is very laggy depending on what device you play it on. If you want a more girly and cute one then itgirl is probably the one and it's also really childlike in terms of themes, too DTI is probably better if you prefer a variety of themes and outfits and if you want that super aesthetic kind of look! I think in terms of looks, I prefer DTI so for me it's still DTI that I love

i’m a big DTI fan, but i got really fed up with the unfair voting in servers and bad themes. i’ve noticed in IT girl, voting is more fair, you can vote on the theme. it’s alot easier to navigate IT girl and the poses are so cute, while DTI has more items and you can be more creative i can totally see IT girl becoming more popular! DTI is still fun but sometimes going back to simple stuff is a nice change.

I think both of these games are great! It comes down to everyone's preferences. It Girl is cute and has a very round style. It's very simple and overall enjoyable! The music being different is nice as well. But Dress to Impress will always be my favorite of the two because I overall like how I can style and toggle the clothing items as well as all the different servers. Even if It Girl does end up overshadowing DTI I'll still play DTI simply because of preference 💕 (this is all opinion and I'm lowkey dumb so im sorry if I worded this weird or aggressively at all)

IT Girl is my go to every time. I do appreciate the number of options that DTI has for hair, clothing, and makeup but honestly the simpler and less options in IT Girl makes the gameplay feel way smoother and less stressful to me as a new player. I also like how IT Girl has the clothing genres separated by room vs DTI’s style. I like being able to just look at all my shoe options in one place rather than going from one end of the map to the other just to see which pair of shoes goes with the fit better, for an example. Also love the IT girl cute bodies/poses, free lashes and elf ears! I do agree that IT Girl textures are not up to par with DTI’s, but again way less options makes an easier time coordinating outfits and less time scrolling!

I also have a terrible time choosing hairs in DTI. I play on mobile and the hair UI completely overlaps with the jump button, so it closes the menu a lot for me. I also don’t like how it immediately puts you in the hair coloring wheel after you choose a hairstyle, making me have to go back to the menu so I can layer hairs, which then leads into my initial problem. I love just layering and colouring afterwards

I was a certified roblox hater before discovering dti. I still find roblox extremely ugly and cringeworthy, but with dti those things are completely gone. The models, the makeup, and the outfits you can make are STUNNING. And my biggest thing, is that dti feels like it's own game. I don't feel like I'm playing roblox when I'm playing dti, and with IT girl, (I've only played it once so I don't have much experience with it), feelings like its a roblox game. I will say tho, it is adorable and I love the style. And I wouldn't mind checking it out when improvements are made.

I think what also makes DTI one of the best, if not “superior” dress up games is its creativity. Not like it’s aesthetic or Lana lore which is more of a bonus, I mean truly being a fashion game that allows creativity. Let’s compare to Fashion Famous. The og. Girlie who ate so everyone can chew 💅 One of FF biggest problems for me is the random. Items. There are no restrictions on what clothes you can worn on what models, however aside from the faces, hairs, and the woman’s section of clothes, every other section has a randomized selection of options each round.This includes accessories. There’s a lot of accessories in FF that can make or break a fit, but you can get unlucky with a theme, and think “oh I remember there’s a hat/jacket that can go good with this.” And be met with the obstacle that that one accessory you needed didn’t get rolled to be available that round. Plus there might be one pair of wings/a hat that’s perfect for a theme or the only option available for the theme, and so the entire server goes for it. And thus no one has a creative outfit anymore cause we all have to use the one same accessory that matches the theme. In its earlier builds DTI had this exact issue, but with all the new items. Code items, collabs, it adds a bunch of new items, and with more options then one single pair of pants, being able to change colors and add patterns it allows so much creativity. Think of the hacks for like the baby or the duck/frog hat, or the snake hack. Who would have looked at all those items and thought “I can make a baby.” Sure, some themes make it difficult to be really creative. Themes like graduation, or cheerleader come to mind since those themes are, by traditional looks, uniform and thus all the server is dressed the same, but let the theme be award show and everyone gets creative with recreating iconic red carpet celebrity looks or making their own iconic looks. ITGirl has some lacking creative elements such as the make up and some clothes but given it’s a new game, similar to how early DTI had the same issue, it has the chance to get out of that slump and have its own unique style and ways to be creative.

I play dress to impress when I want to do a detailed look, it's my go to game and I even play it on mobile when I get the chance But it girl scratches an itch for me, its simple aesthetic makes it a good understimulating dress up game for me and feels a lot more like the dress up games id play as a kid. It forces you to be a little more creative but the limited options is kinda satisfying. It doesn't work well on mobile though so I don't play it as much since I don't often get to just sit down at my laptop. So basically, tldr; dti is my go to, my fave, my love and my obsession, and then it girl is my simple, easy, looking for something different without changing it up too much game.

It Girl takes a lot of parts from games and other creators. I feel like if they made their own stuff then it would be much more cohesive in terms of style and everything put together. I also just dislike the animation for It Girl, the walking animation is so unrealistic and off looking, the knees should not be going up that high, it looks like a march. other than those 2 factors, I actually love It Girl! the base they use reminds me of Bratz and brings me so much nostalgia, the makeup letting you change eye colour without being VIP is really nice too, even if it is limited for the time being.

Another thing I love about it girl is that it’s aware of possible problems. For example: they made sure to add a modesty layer to the hijab when you put it on so people can’t be disrespectful. Also I feel like it girl is way more stylized and adorable, vs dress to impress which goes for a more realistic style so they’re hard to compare. What not many people have brought up is that dti has been out longer, and has a larger dev team, and makes more money, so it’s hard to blame it girl for not having as many items.

Definitely feel like it’s hard to truly compare the two cause DTI has been out for much longer than ItGirl. As well as how a lot of people don’t often give games like ItGirl a chance cause it’s easy for them to go “DTI wannabe” Acting as if DTI was the first/only fashion game on Roblox. Like BFR. DTI early on was honestly boring but it got more fun to play the more items they added cause we could layer them and create creative outfits. However its flaw is the lack of accessories. If you want a jacket there’s only like 2 jacket options and one of them is codes. You want a baseball cap, we only have the one with the stars on them. You want cat ears? Here’s a beanie. And most of these items are carried by the players who make them work for every fit. ITGIRL has such cute accessories and having things like sleeves be separate from tops also makes layering or using different combos fun but past that the creativity feels limited. Especially make up and hair. IG’s hair is so cute but the faces all feel samey, plus the game goes to a 2D art style when doing hair and make up so it feels like sometimes the model then doesn’t match what I just chose. ITGirl does have the excuse of being more new and thus not as fleshed out yet. DTI has a much bigger audience. And thus there’s more people with higher demands for what they want, and despite the devs hard work, there’s always gonna be people who aren’t satisfied with every update. I’m sure the devs wanna add stuff like more accessories, but the people asking for “more hairs!” Or “more VIP items” are always louder than those asking for accessories.

I think it is just personal preference cause both are good. Obviously DTI has more stuff but It Girl is still fun anyways. I switch between playing both. Also Cake off is basically DTI but cakes and I definitely recommend that one too. edit: it is just personal opinion and how i experience both cake off and dti. both games itch the part of my brain that enjoys dress up and building games so that is why i said "cake off is basically dti but cakes". not meant to be taken literal and it sums it up simply.

@@PsychoTeddy14 how so?? obviously its not an exact replica. you decorate your character in dti and in cake off you decorate your cake. in each game there are cosmetics you can buy, game passes, and a voting round. a freeplay mode exists in both games as well as a game mode locked to more experienced players. of course there are some differences but they are basically both are dress up games, you just dress up different shit.

"cake off is basically dti but cakes" isn't meant to be taken literally. i clarified things in the edit part of my original comment. go play a couple rounds to see what i mean and if it still doesn't click then that is fine.

I feel like it girl is more inspired by fashion famous with the way the rooms set out and the faces and dti is a mix between fashion famous and royale high due to the body type that looks more realistic compared to how Roblox avatars are and how it girl is more cartoony

*TW : YAPPING* Dti is more laggy that my sticky iPad couldn’t handle. (It’s still laggy when I have low quality.) The clothing on dti doesn’t mean they own it, like “it girl is copying dti’s clothes!!!1!1!1!1!1!” like, did you saw them in real life?
