I've used exclusively the rebelle bow for... a number of years now. I got it when it came out I guess. It's decent. Not as great as actual blasters and the aiming takes a lot of time and practice as you can't really aim via regular means. I love it :3 I'd guess that it was about at a 50-60. I'm guessing, I can't measure it.

in theory, you could cut out some sheet metal to reinforce the bow arms and prevent the flex so that you can properly compress the k26 spring.

Idea for the Heartbreaker Bow, it'd be light enough that when you cut it down, you could have it on your arm as a quick one shot. Also, I think the pull & release from your arm would look really cool.

With the advent of Mega XL darts this episode has become highly relevant to my interests. I have a Blazin Bow that I scored at a Goodwill for a couple of buck a while back and it fires the #girthdart OK and could use an upgraded spring. We know the Blazin won't take a K26, what's the story on K25? What advice do you have, O great Captain Xavier of the present?

I removed the AR from my blazing bow as well and I would suggest putting a bit of foam or something to keep the priming handle from slamming into the back of the bow. Also I've fired the the rebele bow and it is absolute garbage.

Dude... Reinforce the arms... You can get cheap steel tube from the dollar store. Just cut a slot for a length of it out of the bit with triangular plastic supports, and wrap the whole arm in tape or something.

For larp and cosplay purposes, I wouldn't mind a nerf bow, mega darts might be the "best" for ammo, but they're kinda being retired I think, standard elite sized darts might be the way to go....k26 and brass barreled larp bow. Why? For my own amusement

Correct me if I’m wrong but the thunder bow doesn’t need to have the bow arms flex right? If not you could use some metal bars (wouldn’t be particularly pretty) to reinforce them so they no longer flex then it should be able to take a K26 if there’s not another point of failure.

I picked up a big bad bow at a flea market a few years ago for like $5, and I was so happy. It was in great shape, had two of the original arrows, and the strings were very loose, but were easily restrung to give it a snappy release. That is until a gerbil chewed on one, causing it to eventually snap. Would it be relatively easy for someone who's new to nerf modding to do the same thing you did?

I have not needed to. 1/2 is the perfect size for Elite Darts. 3/4 is the right size for Mega darts.

If there is room in the battery tray you can just add more batteries. For a while I ran 8 AA in EIR while I waited for my Trustfires to arrive. It had about the same effect.

Yes. Two for sure. 3 if you are careful and only fire in short bursts. If you go to 4 you will almost certainly burn out the motors.

They are not as good as IMRs nor do they have the discharge rate of LiPo. They work just fine if you are careful. They are also much much cheaper then either IMRs or LiPo. I ran EIR on 4 trustfires for years with no issues. I use IMR's now.

John Meselidis just make sure you use two *protected* trustfires for the longevity of the blaster. You can use three but it will burn out your motors eventually. Unprotected trustfires will burn it out faster.

There are 4 small tabs in the end of the barrel, but after taking those down, the cpvc slid in snugly. Not sure if I want to glue it in or not. I think its strong enough to reliably NOT launch at people, so maybe not. Do you have any advice on the giant hole in the plunger tube? I have some duct tape covering it, but I don't know if that's the best option as far as a good seal is concerned.
