I think it's ICS because to hasbro, mags and clips are the same thing, so it's a clip that goes inside the gun all the way, so it would be "Internal Clip System"

Barely. I've never used a deploy that smoothly ejected or accepted a magazine.

For the Havoc, (should you get one of your own) put a stock on it and extend the barrel slightly and you should have yourself a bolt-action clip-fed mini-rifle for a leftie.

I only run a moded battle scout for last day of HVZ as a secondary because I find a few battle scout with clip in goodwill and I don't want to carry that many gear because I can top it up with loose dart. Primary is as usual, a home made foam lightsaber, with some practice I can actually deflect darts in nerf war not in HVZ because Zombie don't have blasters, because of that skill I'm called the " nerf jedi ”

I fell in love with the Havok as soon as I picked it up. I have a doubled up spring in mine though when opening my model I had a solvent weld spot in mine (I just Hulked through it). $10,2 clips, 16 darts... great deal!

For the Jaguar, file off the plastic stump that holds the clip in. That lets you remove and insert clips at will. It's also cool, because when the clip is empty, it'll eject off the top.

One useful mod for the battlescout: you can dremel (or drill) out the wall behind the pawl that activates the clip indexing mechanism. Normally, this wall causes the pawl to retract, releasing the clip indexing mechanism, which disengages it from the clip. By drilling it out, the result is that the clip can't be bumped to a different position. It does require you to pull the slide back before you can load the clip (and you still have to align the clip to the first round) but it will be locked into position whenever the slide is in the forward position.

I find the jaguar to be a very good sidearm for fighting in halways. It's very easy to top of the clip and if you're inside the short range is not all that bad.

What spring or spring combo did you wind up using for the Battlescout? I have the new Camo edition (which is much better off the bat) but I'm curious what spring I should order and if it should be used by itself or in conjunction with the stock spring as well? If you can remember I need to know exactly what spring to purchase.

Sadly, none of the Vortex blasters will take a K 26. They all use a torsion spring, as opposed to a compression spring.

there is a new version of the jaguar at Walmart for $5 and it is drastically different. looks about the same but has an AR. it also gets twice the performance stock. it actually kinda hurts. go pick one up and you'll see what I mean.

My personal thoughts on Nerf blaster designations: CS = Clip System (Recon, Retaliator) EX = External prime and barrels (Nightfinder, Firestrike) IX = Internal prime External barrels (Reflex, Scout) ICS = Internal/Inline Clip System AS = Air System (Titan, Rapid Fire 20) Maybe I'm off, but this is how I reasoned those out in my head.

You missed: ECS = Electric Clip System. And whatever the Rival system is. I think it is (year of release is roman numerals)+(Ball capacity x 100). At least that was my Theory until the Nemisis came out. It is MXVII 10k. So the Ball Cap fits but that is the Roman Numerals for 1017...so I have no idea...thoughts? But yeah, those are my beliefs on the naming too.

Captain Xavier I was thinking about the ECS (EIR, Stampede) but forgot it trying to get the others. And EBF is Electronic Belt Fed (Vulcan, Havok). I don't have any Rivals, and haven't looked at the Roman numerals on them at all. I know that the last numbers are the capacities times 100 or 1,000. Maybe the third and fourth digits are the year, and first and second are something else. I'll have to look into that.

I tried doubling up the spring in the cougar, and it worked super well for a while, but the little hook that the stock/cocking mechanism went through was plastic, and it broke pretty soon.

Adventure Force Havoc $5.44 on WalMart.com right now. I DID get a K26 to work in mine, unless it was K25? Anyway, I get 125-135 fps with the upgrade, but you need to use Accustrike or similar darts, Elites and the provided darts will just spiral out of control with that much power. I intend this to be my sidearm for my Caliburn loadout because with a tiny modification it can fire short darts. I hope to do a short video on this in the next couple of weeks.

Is that really the exact same piece from the Guardian Crossbow? I don't think I've ever heard of them doing that before. They use similar parts in many blasters, but they're usually made for that blaster. I'd love to see a video where you put that into a Guardian, it might explain why the Scout is so crap.

I am 99% sure it is the same part. It has the attachment point for the string, it has the mount point for the cylinder, it has the cylinder rotation mech. None of those are needed in the battle scout. If I ever get my hands on another one I will actually try swapping them, just for fun. :D

Another great thing about the havoc blaster xavier is just how damn inexpensive they are and the fact that they come with two of those clips. If you want you can cheaply purchase another blaster just for the clips.

If you wanted to with the BattleScout would it be possible to make it mag fed? It seems to me that a raider Magwell would be right at home. But I'm not entirely sure since I'm not much of a modder and I don't know how the mechanize would take it.

You would have to completely replace the internals...but yes, you could put better internals in a battlescout shell. As I have said before, with enough epoxy putty you can put any blaster into any other blaster...

Just bought a Havoc, seduced by the idea of it shooting so hard, planning to make it in some sort larp western, carbine lookalike (longuer barrel, wooden stock, etc), and I would like to upgrade it as you did. Do you remember what spring you used to bring it to 115-130 fps? Or, otherwise, what would you think of reinforcing the priming bar with a riveted piece of flat metal bar? Maybe it could then take a k26

Captain Xavier How difficult do you think it would be to mod the Battlescout to take a standard Nerf Mag instead of that clip? I'm thinking something that feeds from the side, or maybe even the top. Not that it's necessarily worth all the effort, of course; I'm just curious how much work you think it would take.

You are about the 5th person to ask this. It would be a lot of work. Basically you would need to shove a whole other blaster in it. A retaliator or similar. Which is doable. With enough epoxy any blaster can by integrated into any other blaster. :P
