Capt, I can confirm that Tek6 springs make a great budget upgrade to the EAT. With the locks taken out, no spring rattle either! With my various unscientific test, it does hit pretty hard and primes smooth.

The Tek 10 spring fits perfectly in two blasters I've seen: The Blaster Stock and the Hammershot (and by extension, pretty much any hammer action blaster). It gives the Blaster Stock a much needed power boost, in particular. Putting it in a Hammershot gives it a hell of a draw, but a more than noticeable power boost. As for the Tek 6 spring, it makes a fine first step upgrade for the Elite Alpha Trooper. I slapped one in mine and that has made it actually worth taking into games,

I have found that the Tek6 spring is a drop in replacement for the Retaliator/Rampage. Yes its shorter but it works just fine. Also I have read online that the plunger tubes from Tek6's are just right size to be a barrel for the Hasbro red Megas and can be glued together to make a mega absolver. ... if you have a need for that.

Your first blaster is the original Tek-10. The more common Tek-10 is the second generation version.

The tek 4 turrets are not that bad if you remove the solvent welded peg and fill the empty line with hot glue for the spring, I actually put it in my rampage, it as needed a bit of hot glue (I like hot glue) and shaving on the end of the piston rod

this is my new favorite youtube series. your technical prowess is impressive. i wish i knew as much in mechanical engineering concepts, some blasters r easier to deal with than others. ill stick with my cycloneshock and rampage. for tiny compression springs i clip out battery - springs in old electronics. its a hit or miss

Jacob Roberts the Nerf Modder it gets very hot in Arizona but there is relatively low humidity so it doesn't "feel" as hot as a more humid area like say Oklahoma. I've lived in OK and visited AZ and the comparison is crazy. 90° in OK with humidity feels like 120° but 110° in AZ feels 110° (or even less if you are used to the OK example)

Actually Xavier, not only can the Tek 6 be the only spring for a Retaliator, it can also be woven into the Retaliator spring and double-springed without issue. (Though a reinforced catch may be needed if the blaster is well-loved beforehand) I made (No kit!) a pump-action Retaliator, it has no spring rattle and I combined the springs. Reconsider it!

Have you ever done the air warriors wizard? I saw the baron but i couldnt find the wizard. I want to make the wizard into an underbarrel shotgun for my super stryfe but I dont know if it will work. Let me know what you think when you get a chance. EDIT: I'm dumb and found the wizard vid. Do you think it could fire all four barrels a short distance, though? You only did 2 at a time. If you want a quick, cheap, but decent blaster put the tek6 (or tek4 in my case) spring in a Maverick. Both show up in goodwill with some frequency. For about $5 you have a well-performing side arm.

I don't think you'll be able to go through your with your Tek 4 plan. The indexer works with the air hole at the back of the barrel, which you said to remove to be able to rear load it. You could instead use a rod and front load it, or figure out a different way to index it.

Aha! A time stamp would have helped. That is a section of railroad track I had cut and then milled into a fluting anvil for making armor. I have several such sections with different surfaces.

What are the internals of each alpha trooper? are the yellow and orange ones reverse plunger and the elite alpha trooper is direct plunger? also does having reverse or direct plunger even make a difference on performance?

The Yellow is Reverse Plunger. The Blue and Orange are Direct Plunger. And it make a huge difference. Both in performance and in mod potential. But especially in mod potential.
