i had seen a guy with the side by side shotgun that did the pull prime with the string, they had also brassed the shells to make it rear loading and glued the shells in, seemed to make it a lot more usable.

Doubleshots can actually get decent ranges once you saw off the barrel past the grip and remove the pegs from the shells

i would suggest replacing the string with high-tensile paracord.

That might help...if it fit. But then you run into the issue of the plastic of the frame giving out. Direct prime is really the only option.

For the double shot the spring can be fairly easily upgraded, but it snaps the string. This happened to twice of mine. Good thing they are fairly cheap

So keep in mind that the champion, the reaper, the thermal hunter, and the interceptor all have the same internals, so if you bust up your brand new thermal hunter's internals, you might be able to replace them, depending on what you broke.

As someone who loves Buzz Bee blasters more and more (really looking forward to the Blizzard!) I was happy to see this. On a serious note: The Champion & Reaper aren't the poor man's Recon or Retaliator... They're simply better unless you're someone that has to have attachments and the cosmetic upgrades (tons of those out there for the Retaliator). My wife & I were just talking about the comparison of Buzz Bee to Nerf, and it comes down to the fact that while less feature packed and full of frills, the current Buzz Bee offerings all perform like slightly modified Nerf guns. That is to say, the more expensive Nerf blasters have to at least have new springs in order to simply be equal. Gotta love Buzz Bee.

Exactly! ALL the Nerfers in my local group feel the EXACT same way. The Non-Nerf brands have UPPED their game while Nerf have gotten complacent. This years line up is utter proof of that.

Yep Cap'n! The Fact that Dart Zone and Buzz Bee are pumping out offerings that in stock form are better while being at times much much cheaper shows who's doing the best product development lately. Nerf comes out with good products, don't get me wrong, but they've geared themselves towards becoming more and more pricey and focused on tactical attachments and accessories while making the more gimmicky blasters at much higher prices. Sure the new Regulator is neat, but at a even higher price than the ECS-10 was (yes, I do like my ECS-10) at a $60 retail. All while you've got the Reaper at your local Wal-Mart for the new lower price of $6.97, shooting farther and just as smoothly as the $25 Nerf Retaliator that requires at least a Orange Mod Works Stage 1 kit to equal it... Now lets not even mention the $20 Dart Zone Scorpion or $20 Buzz Bee Destiny.... Oh wait, too late for that, lol!

I've only had issues with drums in the reaper but 18 stick mags from Nerf works great for me(I has the blue version no clue if It matters)

Here's a suggestion: the Buzzbee Rads 12. Just kidding, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to do a spring swap. Although, you might figure out a way. You should try one anyways, just to see how terrible they are. The priming mechanism is terrible, and the airseal is even worse.

There are any number of videos on how to CPVC a Buzzbee shell for Elites. All you would have to do is follow that guide, drill the shell all the way through, and glue it into the barrel. At that point you can rear load without having to swap shells.

I have a Reaper, but mine doesn't work anymore. I pried the orange thing off. Inside the area under the orange part is so complex. I rage quit trying to put it back together. May fix it someday or might just buy a new one.

No. K26 is too wide to fit in a streamline mag. It will fit in a Rival tube mag though...but then it no longer works...at all...so...no point really...

It comes in a pack of 3 and the each one is long enough for 3 or 4 catch springs. So that is 12-16 catch springs so around $0.10 a spring. That is not so bad...

Captain Xavier I've realized that I shouldn't type when I'm tired. I make a lot of grammatical mistakes. But yes, that is what you get for paying $2 instead of the $5 at Wal-Mart on clearence. No holster or darts. The holster is nice but retention is horrid. If you run with it, it will fall out.

Oh, I didn't realize that. I didn't watch his whole video on the missile launcher mod, so I missed that. Is it going to appear in a future episode, or did you not film that? You would think that giant bastard would take it, being very similar to a Sledgefire in mechanism, but I guess not. Oh well, such is life.

I did not film it. The issue was not the plunger. The issue was the priming mech. It was WAY to complex and long and flimsy to take the weight. YOu would need to make it direct prime and then it would be awkward to prime and then pump to rotate. Just not worth it.

Exactly as I suspected. I figured, based on plunger tube dimensions, that a K26 would fit, but the question was the priming bars. But the answer, of course, is no. Maybe you could put this as an aside in a future video, because I know people are going to ask. Also, might I request you try to K26 a Doomlands Doubledealer?

+An Fr I did not open the blaster enough to mess up the dart tooth. The barrel cap prevented it.

It certainly was. All the reapers people at my nerf club bought got destroyed when they tried opening them. On the plus side I got a bunch of reaper springs. Anyway, thanks for the info.
