Tip for death/deathrite birds: they take tons, and I mean tons of damage from the sacred weapon art even without much faith investment. The scarab that drops it is near where you grab the flask of wonderous physick.

It's rough for our host Tulok in these themed runs because builds like Int/Faith spam caster really benefit from being able to wear some of the headwear of this game to help offset the levels necessary to make the minimums. Things like +3 int from Renala's funny hat, +int/+end from the funny stone hat from Raya Lucaria, and the faith stone hat in the Royal Capital let you cheese some of the minimum requirements for your casting stats/raise your maximums for better damage outputs. Also part of the benefit you can use to offset the pain of Radagon's Soreseal is to wear heavier armor with the bonus Endurance, which Tulok can't do because he's emulating a character. At home, treat this game like Bloodstained: RotN and wear some funny cloths for massive benefits

Tip for spells: use rock sling. I don't remember if you used it on top but the spell is amazing. Long range, decent damage, high tracking, massive stance damage, low fp, easy to get right off the bat, fast casting time, gets buffed by the best early/mid game staff, the meteorite staff, and gets it's range boosted by the arrow talisman. So if you happen to think of any characters who throw a lot of rocks aside from toph, I recommend giving it a try.

Yeah Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike is amazing. My first playthrough was a STR/FAI build and boy, let me tell you, once I discovered how to use ADLS effectively it was OVER for the endgame bosses. Melted Elden Beast first try.

I’d love to see you do a krillin or Master Roshi run. For krillin you could use the yellow robes and hood from gelmir (ouran temple), Invisible weapon spell to hide your polearm, and use ring of light and miquellas rings of light for your destructo discs, and invisible weapon + sword of night and flame for your kamehameha. Black knife tiche summon could be android 18. For Roshi, could be an Int/Faith build with turtle great shield on your back, Magic infused caestus, Lightning spear for Roshis Lightning technique, invisible weapon to use sword of night and flames kamehameha or on a second staff to do a proper comet-hame-ha

The easiest way to deal with the invisible scarabs is to sit in its path on your horse and hold R2 with a weapon that drags on the ground. It runs into it, and it has a long window to trigger.

Or piccolo, now that I think about it: Green skin, not sure what purple outfits there are but, techniques would be fully on the table: magma shower or flame fall upon them for hellzone grenade, shard spiral for special beam cannon, fireball for light grenade, infused caestus for melee damage, etc

As someone who has done a hybrid caster build for the Sword of Night and Flame (well worth it) there's actually a better staff, the Gelmir Glintstone Staff. At 45/45 Int/Fth its stronger than the Prince of Death's Staff which only starts to outperform it at 50/50 Int/Fth. At 45/45 Int/Fth the Gelmir Glintstone Staff has a Sorcery Scaling of 280, the Prince of Death's Staff on the other hand has 266 Sorcery Scaling. Though when using any of the Death Sorceries that deal damage it's the better option. However for general purpose the Gelmir Glintstone Staff is the superior option. Also Int/Fth hybrid caster builds get a good nunber of things going for them: 1. The ability to use the vast majority of the spells in the game 2. The Sword of Night and Flame at its best with both parts of the skill being super powerful 3. Access to a good number of either Intelligence or Faith weapons (Clayman's Harpoon, Coded Sword, Dark Moon Greatsword, etc.) 4. The ability to use both Faith and Intelligence Ashes of War with good effect 5. The ability to use one of the most powerful Sacred Seals in the game in the Golden Order Seal at peak power, it might not he as strong as the Erdtree Seal at 80 Faith at 45/45, but it comes close (338 for GOS compared to 353 for ES) while giving yoy a level of flexibility that the Erdtree Seal lacks The only real drawbacks are that theyre a bit stat-hungry (not as much of an issue at RL150) and the fact that healing spells that aren't regen and weapon buffs only use either the Faith part (Seal) or Intelligence part (Staves), IMO a dumb choice that does hinder any hybrid build (Fth/Arc is hurt by this as well). That and the fact that there's only one true hybrid weapon in the game, though to be fair the Sword of Night and Flame kicks major ass, that and being able to dip into both Faith and Intelligence weapons at the same time does help as well.
