Good to see that you have found something in the way of a Japanese black that you like. I’ve had a few over the years and I really have enjoyed them. You’re right they don’t look the prettiest because they’re using their cultivar and of the way they’re picking them in their traditional manner but I’ve always found that I enjoy the taste of the blacks and the oolongs that I’ve purchased directly from Japan. I do applaud your effort‘s to try and get them to diversify a bit! It has been rather hard trying to find any type of Japanese tea other than green but as you say they make some stellar green teas! Thanks for sharing the video especially of the new family member, it’s great to see Celine back. Looking for more good choices for us and people will come and purchase them, cheers keep drinking the good stuff!

So fun to watch your tea tastings as a family. :-) She's just precious and great to see Celine back on video! Black tea is one of my absolute favorites. :) I'm watching this while drinking my morning matcha, no breakfast yet. Your descriptions of these teas are going to make me eat sweets instead of something healthy for breakfast! Lol! :D

I was in Japan in 2018 and I lived at a tea farm, and tasted some black teas. I really enjoyed the Chiyonoen Tea Farm black tea. Very malty and deep. One of my black tea favorites

I love your Kaori Fuji Black. It was my first taste of your teas and the most delicious, complex and interesting black tea that has ever crossed my lips. Thank you. I've some Little Tong Mu wending its way across the Pacific and I look forward to experiencing it as well. BTW, I love my blue-green porcelain tea set and know that it will bring me and my guests much pleasure in the years to come.

living and working in china and a tea fanatic I have tasted all sort of chinese tea. recently a trip in Japan I have tested for the first time Japanese black tea but I have to say the Japanese black tea are very similar to Indiana European very strong in flavor which has their very own unique feature whereas the chinese one are extremely smooth and fragrant, unfortunately I have to pick the chinese black tea over the Japanese one. the chinese method of making yea is also more refine and the sipping time is a lot lesser thus giving it a smoother and less astringent and bitterness. the chinese also use extremely old tea trees or wild, semi wild tea tree which goes their tea a lot more Energy or the QI. the chinese have been making tea for thousands of years and they they definitely know how to make the best tea in the world and still is. sorry to say that the many chinese tea I have tasted in Europe and around in world are not the best quality, most are just average quality sold at unreasonable price.

This is such a fun video! Congratulations!!! Your daughter is so beautiful! On another note, Kaori black sounds like my jam. I haven't been able to find a black tea that I enjoy because I have a very strong dislike for chocolate and every type that I have tried has that chocolate taste to it. One of my favorite teas is a unique oolong that I found from a tea company that is in my area that they have named cookie monster because it really does taste like baked goods and cookies! If Kaori black tastes similar to that I am going to have to try it!

Love Little TongMu. Looking forward to giving the new Japanese teas a go. Definitely excited for the new batch of master’s matcha and gyokuro. I agree that the Japanese tea market needs more diversification. It’s the reason I don’t really explore their teas. Green tea is all they seem to give real attention to, and even then it’s highly standardized. Thanks for another great video, lovely seeing the little one :)

Best wishes to your new little Tea Head. Coincidence. Just today I had a nice session of Japan Black Asatsuyu grown in Yakushima imported by Tea Gschwendner. That tea is no longer in stock. I will miss it. But it looks like your Kaori Black will be an even better successor. I am curious to give Kaori a try.

Nice :) It was funny that you mentioned marzipan with that Little Tong Mu, because I found it in Longan Lapsang (batch 0619). And I thought to myslef: "Well, I am getting marzipan - like in a Xin Ren Xiang Dan Cong. Why it is not written in description on the box? Hmmm." So maybe I am not crazy :) Actually in the past I bought 1kg of higher quality marzipan to get familiar with that taste and aroma. It was the smallest amount I could order :) . I was having it sometimes with that oolongs...
