Loved the crossover episode. Today’s topic is and was enlightening. Cause I’ve got friends who think men and women can’t be friends without there being a physical attraction

Well, the truth is men and women were not built for friendship. However, the only friendships that make sense are the ones indicted by men. There are a few women in the world who can offer genuine friendship where the exchange of value is nearly equal and mutual. Women are built to be receivers and not givers by nature. They are majorly selfish (naturally, and that's not a bad thing), and it's about them. So, really, any guy agreeing to a lady's terms to be friends wants sex, with the intention of trying to make her comfortable and like him
@Ben256MB2 жыл бұрын
Once physical attraction is present for men sexual attraction is also present so that's fake friendship . Men can only be friends with women their not physically attracted to and this statement is going to crush a lot of womens ego's but that's the truth .

I like this crossover episode. Tamara’s energy is always on point (from the get go with her asking a question). Valerie always laughed anytime that friends having sex topic came up. Murewa just wants to make his point valid. Michael doesn’t want any smoke. “Inconsistency is an answer” - Valerie. I hope there are more crossover episodes in both podcasts. I love both podcasts. Keep up with the great work.

I am just 30mins into the podcast and this is my opinion on male and female friendships. both genders should keep in mind that once you are straight, close friendship with the opposite sex is a slippery slope (i hope you know what i mean). hence, i am of the stand that the terms of engagement for same sex friendship should never be the same as that of the opposite sex. with opposite sex friendships, i believe we have to be more intentional with each other so that very important lines are not crossed (i wish i could do a voice note to explain further at this point 😄) either than that, one person will always end up being bitter.

I really enjoyed this podcast. I know for certain that there are 2 types of dudes - a) The ones who have the confidence to express themselves sexually to a chic they meet on day 1 b) Guys who are disingenuous enough, (due to low self confidence) to not express that inate sexual interest in that chic. A guy who who sees a hot chic and approaches her has 90% of his intentions being sexual. And yea the thing about using guys is something women do, and once a lady says I want to be friends with you in Naija, the first connotation is I am not feeling you sexually, don't wanna have sex with you, but hoping I could get all the niceness cos I see you're a nice guy. The conversation was really healthy, tho. I enjoyed it for the most part.

I've listened to the podcast version, but I'm here to drop comments. This episode is just so chaotic. People talking over each other. Bruh! There was a lot of communication clash at the beginning with so many people speaking at a time but towards the end it got better. Thumbs up to Valerie on the 51st minute! Everyone should care about communication with friends. I always feel the need to apologize when I disappear in the middle of a conversation so when someone does that consistently, I’m hearing nonchalance especially if we aren’t best buddies yet.

I understand the ladies point about the guy still wanting to stay despite knowing what the girl wants, but also now that the guy has accepted to be her friend and not want to look at her sexually also... In most cases guys benefit little from female friendship, cause he could be on his own minding his business then she comes in his DM or calls him and start asking for maybe financial help or how another guy is treating her (note: he had interest in her and she turned him down, so he'd probably feel hurt about giving advice about how another guy is treating her badly cause he'd wonder why she picked the guy over him) and when it's the guy's turn asking for help maybe financially a lot of ladies won't be able to help either and in such case the guy would feel he is not gaining from the relationship with her and decide to end it then she'd feel he distanced himself from her cause she didn't offer sex, meanwhile she really wasn't offering anything in the friendship she offered to the guy

I’m just listening to this episode and there was a part where Muriwa said something about being attracted at first and then later finding out you want something sexual after a while. Didn’t really talk much about that and can we talk about a woman’s perspective too. A man might want something sexual but a female says no but still gives signs that she wants it but then you try and act on it and she says no again. It’s a back and forth thing. She says she likes you and all that, giving mixed signals and all that. Really need these women back and explain how that works cause it’s confusing. Thank you

I think both me and women should take accountability for this scenario. Men who hide under the guise of friendship when the woman has made it clear there’s no sexual interest. Women who are aware that these men are clearly hiding their interest by using friendship as their in and then exploiting that. Both they ment and should do better. Also Sonariwo in your scenario, the issue is always the lack of communication. I personally would be very upset with 48 hours of no communication knowing we’ve been actively talking for two weeks. With no explanation, my brain would go everywhere from you’ve ended up in a ditch to you’re not interested. I understand you may not feel like you owe anything but it doesn’t take more than five minutes to just say, hey I’m gonna be off the grid for a lil while just wanted to inform you. It would save a lot of stress for both parties cause you have peace of mind and she doesn’t get an attitude

I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone. Women tend to be more emotional, more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more sensitive, more kind-hearted, more peaceful, more calmer, more gentle, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way. Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men. Also, girls that are friends touch each other in ways that guys just don’t.

The argument by the ladies from 42:30 doesn’t make sense. Not getting a text for just 2 days is no reason not to at least give someone a chance to explain why he couldn’t text. I know people are wired differently but being understanding is a beautiful virtue to have. You can at least allow someone the opportunity to explain why there was a break in communication. If you need to put boundaries or take any other action afterwards at least you would have been well informed on the reasons for your reaction.

I was in this ship last week. A guy that has asked me for sex and I had gave him a no, returned into my DM asking for my friendship. What do you want me to do, stupidly embrace the idea? Knowing fully well, he is only trying to be smart. At least that is what I think. If we are friends, let's do it without sex, please. The relationship would go south if sex ever happens.
@bartpatton34092 жыл бұрын
Just curious, wha does being in a friendship relationship with a girl entail?
@coachvena2 жыл бұрын
@@bartpatton3409 I have female friends and male friends. Trust me when I say, the guys are better friends than my girls. So, you see the way you don't vibe with all your male friends, some are just beer pals or work colleagues, and then you have your Gee. Same for the opposite sex, you must be a buddy, you have open conversations, and you have the same interest so there is something you both can do together. Maybe watch your favorite movie, play PS e.t.c You are there for her in her down times, a shoulder to lean on. You understand her, you don't judge her. When she thinks, " I have messed up big time, I'm in trouble, Who can get me out?" She runs to you. You share in her joy, you celebrate each other. You give each other premium advice. Basically adding value to each other. You treat your female friends just like your guys. Then if you guys so which, you can take things to the next level. But, before this can happen, she needs to embrace the idea and be willing to accept your friendship.

@johnnworah8558 Жыл бұрын
Is this still a topic for discourse nowadays? Lmao. Ok, I would make it plain and simple. Men and women CANNOT just be friends with the reason being that men stand to gain absolutely nothing from being in a platonic relationship while the women gets all the non-sexual attention of the man which is to her benefit. Men want to discuss Uganda,women want attention so if I come into contact with a chick and try to progressively escalate things to a sexual level and she ain't reciprocating the same energy back,that alone speaks volumes but a lot of "whoopy cushiony" men would rather take the cowardly route of taking up the consolatory prize of being friends with a chick in the hopes of one day having her grant you some kind of sexual access. That's weak cowardly behavior. I'd rather accept a no from a chick and move on than for me to put myself in position of being sucked of my attention while I get absolutely nothing back. Men and women are meant to MATE. Opposites attract.
@Ben256MB2 жыл бұрын
In my opinion nice a woman has the ability to evoke sexual thoughts and feelings from a man visually that's never an authentic friendship because most women know that when a man is being all nice and friendly . Women assume that the man want to have sex with them and l always challenge women the offer sex to their so-called male friends and 99 percent of the those guys will take that opportunity to have sex . Most women will never take that challenge because they know I'm telling the truth !!!
